I was lying in bed alone reading (other half was out at work), it just after midnight and kept thinking I could hear things, then I kept thinking I could see things out of the corner of my eye 
Eventually by 1.35am exhaustion took over and I fell asleep

They said the house was haunted, but
He laughed at them and said, 'Tut, tut!
I've never heard such tittle-tattle
As ghosts that groan and chains that rattle
And just to prove I'm in the right,
Please leave me here to spend the night.'
They winked absurdly, tried to smother
Their ignorant laughter, nudged each other
And left him just as dusk was falling
With a hunchback moon and screech-owls calling.
Not that this troubled him one bit;
In fact, he was quite glad of it,
Knowing it's every sane man's mission
To contradict all superstition.
But what is that? Outside it seemed
As if chains rattles, someone screamed!
Come, come, it's merely nerves, he's certain
(But just the same he draws the curtain).
The stroke of twelve - but there's no clock!
He shuts the door and turns the lock
(Of course, he knows that no one's there,
But no harm done by taking care!)
Someone's outside - the silly joker,
(He may as well pick up the poker!)
That noise again! He checks the doors,
Shutters the windows, makes a pause
To seek the safest place to hide -
(The cupboard's strong - he creeps inside).
'Not that there's anything to fear,'
He tells himself, when at his ear

is this the fellow
our old house was haunted, at the top of the stairs it used to be mostly and it pushed my lass down the stairs (so she said probably had a drink too much)
and it was always cold there and it felt very strange like someone watching you .
used to feel to embarressed to put a certain dvd on when she was at work
all ghosts are bad ghosts i cannot get rid of my demon she's been with me 7 years now

The Hounds of the Hunstervilles.... 
Well last night was it.. D-Day for Mr (or Mrs) Ghostly ****** current additional resident of Hunt Halls...
I sat with camera, tape recorder and HD video camera running in the back ground... waiting for that spectral spanner to 'do his (or her) thing'... 3AM arrived.... and went, 3:30AM, 4AM, 4:30AM... and bo-diddley square route of **** all....
or that's what I thought.....
Till I went down the stairs notice that as well as the lights being on again...
I'm not sleeping very well... in fact I'd go as far to say I'm almost not sleeping
.... this demonic ****** is starting to do my nut in, so it's gloves off and time for the....
Quija Board....
... Man Vs. Spectral ******.... Rumble in Hunt Halls.... this phantom ****** is going down

make it hard
remove the fuses to downstairs, no fuses ..no lights
mind you it would add to the atmosphere
Ive often thought our house was the same... things would dissapear for no reason... keys left on the table.... gone, only to be on the table later!!
now as soon as we cant find things, we just shout out " ok put back the xxxx item thats gone walkies"
sure enough we "find it within a few minutes"
our old house was deffo on spook central, we had a connecting porch / corridor between the kitchen & the utility room, and the back door was here. No matter how warm the house was this corridor & utility room were always cold bitterly cold even in the height of summer. our cat would never go down there, and on the odd occasion it did would look like a furball with its hackles all up!!
A few times my mum saw children running down this corridor out of the backdoor. She never said anything to us because my sisters would freak!!!
The house was an old schoolhouse attached to an old school that had been around since the victorian times, hence the kids dressed in old type clothes.

, it's bad news if you dont know what your doing you could make things worse you could bring more spooks through and be able to start a buisness renting out ghost to statle mansions.

Even though you didn't see anything it'll be worth playing back your recordings just in case. I've read that although nothing appears to the human eye something can show up on screen or via the speaker

sleep downstairs tonight and see if anything happens .
maybe it is slimer and pops the kitchen light on for something to much on then forgets to turn it off .
seriously though id be pretty scared to sleep downstairs or even anywhere, whats the name of that film where that demon follows that woman everywhere even to her friends house and starts abusing her and stuff .

The ouija board stayed away last night, watched room 1408 instead (not the greatest of moves).... and the ONLY weird thing was when I went upstairs to bed ALL the first floor doors were closed!! that's really strange as I never ever normally close them??...
As long as this 'thing' keeps off my booze, collection of DVD's and doesn't start ordering movies off Sky box office we'll be fine...
Although the atmosphere seems to have changed from 'playful' to 'annoying'...
