I must say, it is annoying what he has done to you, but as Dazza has said, you had a (possibly) lucky escape.

He says they are not buckled, but then, when you get new tyres, who is to say that the wheels haven't gone 'egg-shaped' also ?

Also, in a way, he hasn't ripped you off (as such) , but would agree that he has made an agreement and hasn't stuck to his end of the bargain.

I think i would put it all down to experience .......... Sorry.

Are you seeing different pictures to me? Just wondering as I can't actually see the wheel THAT good to see what damage/curbing has been done?
Honestly - I'm not overly fussed - just disapointed that someone can make a deal then back out at the last minute!!! Think Gooner was more cheesed off - afterall, it really IS his car!!

Things like this happen all the time....

Its the same going to a store, seeing something, setting your heart on it and "Bang!!! - out of stock"

You could have found another set of wheels in the time taken to post this.

Leave the seller to get on with it.

Elite do some great wheels (Rainham) and reasonably priced tyres to go with them.

Hope you find something suitable

I was only looking for a cheap set really to have refurbed and sprayed orange - as opposed to paying for a nice new shiney set!!!

a new set with tyres will be cheaper (possibly) then a purchased old set with refurbishment / balancing and possibly different nuts!!

as an example, my wheels were around £650.00 with Yokahamo Parada II Tyres brand spanking new and balanced and fitted.

the tyres alone can be around £400 IIRC - do the maths, it wont be far out.
