I think that people like Marks and Spencers do a 30% deferred and 60 months to pay at an apr of about 9 ish % .If you you combine that with getting a European Import that gives you about the lowest payments into a new one

bought my STI back in '99 on finance with alliance and leicester using their car purchase plan (lets you defer an amount between 40-60%) so your monthly outgoings are low (was about 225 from memory I think), just got a brand 02 WRX on contract hire 3+23 for £264+VAT per month - stupidly cheap!

Tazman,
Thats based on 15k p.a. non-maintained, check out:
http://www.contracthireandleasing.com/ for some good deals cos I heard subaru have had poor sales of new age impreza's (many on here would say why!) so doing cheap deals, having had both I miss the power from my classic shape STI but *love* the refinement of the new age WRX. Given the choice I would have both!

Again, I work in IT. Thats how I am getting a P1 pretty soon. 15 -20k plus my 106 GTi as deposit (unless I keep it).
Loan will be over 5 years but it'll actually be paid off a lot quicker. Loan is with my bank by the way.

I somehow still qualified for a graduate loan even though I graduated 3 years ago!? My car was 17k and I owe about 10k. The interest rate is pretty good 7 ish I think and Im pretty safe in the knowledge I could sell the car and pay the loan off if I lost my job or whatever(dont owe anything else)
Theres no way Id save up and get the car in 3 years time, I wanna have my fun now! even if there is an interest payment.
btw, get a cheap turbo, not a sport - really.

International Motors Finance for me, after I traded my Sport in after 18 months ownership. The Sport was great, but cost of ownership does not equal any great performance smiles. You will always want a turbo when running a Sport - the difference is chalk and cheese, and as for costs it aint really that much more.
