Become a plumber or sparky £80 just to get there before you even do anything and then at least £50 an hour most of it straight in your pocket. And to be honest its hardly hard work

You all know what these plumbers charge...."Its your pipes missus there all going to have to come out"

Transporting Illegal Immigrants at very fast speed across boarders is a great way to raise the cash..

The Drug Smuggling is not as easy as it used to be.........

And those Guns are so heavy...

<Depressed mode on>

Tsh Tsh, IT isn't what it used to be, especially in the knackered Telecomms markets....

<Depressed mode off>

But saying that, just taking my motorbike lessons and hopefully getting something to play on real soon.

Added it to the Nat West mortgage (at a fixed rate 7.4% I think). I wanted to own it and not have Vinny Jones knocking on the door if things go wrong.

I "switched it" at Well Lane not knowing that the money was not available. Instant £17k overdraft !!

Money is cheap the moment…Just wait until George W stomps on Iraq, get a fixed rate !!

I've worked in the public sector (not IT) for 20 years this DEcember and look forward to paying off the mortgage in 2019 !!

What is it with IT workers we all seem to like scoobies!! Easiest plan get IT working boyfriend to buy scoobie, get obsessed with scoobies and then figure out a cunning plan to get yet another scoob. Current plan is to get the equity in the house sorted out!!!!

Cool

Hi All

I paid for my UK300 with cash. My basic wage is not very good but I top my wage up with offshore trips and overtime. I have worked very hard for it. I only do 7000 miles a year so my running costs are not too bad.

I wish IT was top money for little effort!!

Pay might be good but I tend to work about 60 hours a week and spend a lot of time travelling in the UK and abroad.

It's good money for bloody hard work in my case.

Oh, and my Scooby was paid for by trading in my MKIV Golf GTi and topping it up with cash. The Scooby was then traded last year and topped up with a small loan to buy my CTR.

FAO darlodge

why dont you try a second hand sport first of all, instead of a newy. 97 R reg 40k miles should be around 6.5 grand.
If you realise you really wanted the turbo, you aint lost a lot of depreciation.If you get one just over 45k, it should have had the cam belt done as well.

The trick with IT is to choose your field carefully. Do it well enough and you can pick and choose your hours, then slap yourself occasionally for not doing it 5 years ago.

There's a lot of **** IT jobs that pay low and require a lot of invested time. Conversely there's a small proportion of jobs that are the total opposite!

PS: Ron, you're not alone.
