Maybe, but what can you do about it?

Personally i do a couple of things to avoid it annoying me.

Main one being if the post is written in text talk i come out of if. It could be the most interesting post in the history of Scoobynet, but i'm not going to spend ages trying to translate it.

Then if i'm looking through the gallery and don't like what i see i just won't bother going back into that thread. The owner likes the car, and fair play to them. I won't say if i don't like if, as i don't want to offend them. They might think my car is a pile of s**t, but if they have enough respect not to pick holes in mine i won't do it to theirs.

Don't take it the wrong way, but it is just brand snobbery. The problem is it won't go away, and if you don't like if what do you do?

The Skylines are suffering an ever bigger problem (IMO), the state of a lot of GTS's these days is awful.

Go on the MLR aswell and the problem is the same (ok maybe to a lesser extent).

All you can do is get on with it. Well ok you can go around slagging off cars that aren't your cup of tea, but they'll still be there, and all you'll achieve is getting a bad reputation.

Sorry to stick my beak in again, but I'm going to nonetheless. When I was 17 my mates and I used to dream of one day owning a Subaru Impreza (Turbo ) and then, a few years later, my mate got one. Then another mate got one and then, thank the gods, so did I! A dream fulfilled. So, when the marque's reputation is severely damaged by said morons with their tasteless, antisocial sh1tters, I feel compelled to step in. Call it raising conciousness if you like.

Personally I see no problems with "loud imprezas" if I see or hear a loud impreza, I just think "oo an Impreza" but when it's got lexus lights, decals galour, crap wheels, dodgy spoilers, then of course it makes me shake my head and think what a disgrace. But if I see a loud impreza, nice alloys, and great subtle styling, I think, that's how an impreza should be.

Fair play. If you think it helps, or it makes you feel better than who am i to pass judgement.

I'm pretty thick skinned, but some people probably take your or Elmers comments personally.

I know of several people who won't post pictures of their cars on this site, as they know some people won't like them and will make remarks about them. These people have spent thousands on their pride and joys, and i just don't think it is right to offend and in some cases upset them.

So often I've wished to comment on a person's car and I haven't as I acknowledge it's rude and, as ghey as it may sound, I don't want to hurt their feelings. However, when somebody's clearly a James Blunt, it's open season as far I'm concerned.

Just that you seem to be involved in far more of these pointless arguements than I remember previously.

Loud exhausts are unwelcome and mainly anti social to normal folk I fear.

So in that case I don't think its pointless

Why would he want to get rid of the standard lights Micky afterall they are simply newage versions of the classic STi lights.
That being said i prefer the 06 version lights with the darker bottom nice zorst though although i will be sticking with my standard STi zorst for the time being as there is nothing worse than people pointing and laughing at cars with loud exhausts

And back onto exhausts....

Buddy Club - Loud and light
---Buddy club OFFICIAL USA WEB SITE---

5zigen Fireball - LOUD

I've had a Afterburner decat with Ninja, was very nice. Loud and great top end roar.

My current Meerkat 3" scaffold pole is louder though. No good for rear passengers though.

There's a thread on an american board. WRX something or other with literally hundreds of exhaust videos, sound clips and pictures.

Ah! one of those maps. Does drive a bit more jerky though. But it's WRC noise every second of the way.

No flamer kit there

And maybe people will live and live.

Everytime I hear a car drive past with a loud exhaust, I think 'tw$t'.
Then I remember I have a scooby with a vortex fitted.
And then, the the penny drops......who gives a flying f&ck what other people think!
If you earn your own money, pay your own way and aren't hurting anyone, why shouldn't you do what makes you happy?

Suck on those eggs!
