That saddle is the MBR mag 2007 gold award winning x/c saddle, lovely, and yes the brown leather is meant to be retro.
So when are you getting your MTB out then lardy?

TBH I'm at a bit of a loss.
I'm commited to driving the car myself and cannot in anyway compete with a Professional driver
I can see why you'd choose to employ a pro driver but I just couldn't live my life in the workshop to see my own car driven by someone else, it's on of the main reasons I'm in this business.
The Time Attack invitation states that the decision is yours to place your entry, Club or Pro, which is deemed on vehicle and not the driver however the only difference I can see in the rules is......
There's many entrants aiming for a Club entry with larger budgets and specifications than me, check out the project section, difference being they'll pay someone else to carry out the work on their behalf whereas I'm in the position I can carry out all the work myself.
My entry will be a well set-up 500bhp/500ftlbs which is still less than some of last years front Club runners - Silverstone may be a different issue but we'll look at that nearer the time.

- that cages are mandatory in Pro, advisable in Club
- plumbed in extinguishers are mandatory in Pro, advisable in Club

It does appear to be a shame that the rules have not been amended to differentiate between club and pro,
I have not yet had a chance to fully reasd through this years regs, but isn't there a sub section , Tuner Assisted , which would I assume be the class for you?

I know we have had the conversation before, but I fully agree with you, just can't see the point in building the car and then not driving it yourself. Might as well just save yourself some money and be a spectator!

Zak is right though and it is daft to try and compete with the pro drivers, but there are plenty of comparable cars in pro and club that will be great competition.
Now that the formats are virtually the same, there doesnt seem to be much of a difference between the two but the organisers have said that they will push people up to pro class should the vehicle be too high a spec for club... cant see that happening too much though (if at all).
Either way Zak, I would judge yourself and car against comparable machines. Thats what i am planning as with 850bhp lightweight evo's in club class there doesnt seem much hope of an outright win
