thanks ns04...

currently im getting mixed opinions re. the price david is quoting me.

ive 99.999% decided on him anyway, because whats important to me also, is the after sales service.

i trust jason with my car to sort any niggles out, and i also trust david from speaking with him, for 100% sound advice and help, should the need arise. i get the feeling though, some are trying to suggest im getting ripped off but i dont feel that way. expensive yes, but after everything thats happened with this car, i just want a proper unequivicle job doing.

Tell you what, l'll withdraw. If advice is against an APi product, then I would rather you sought out all the offers and made a right choice.

good morning jeffery

just rubber stamped my order with david about 1 hr ago.

inc. overnight delivery to jason in rotherham, just over £900.
then its basically jasons labour costs, a clutch and the possibilty of the flywheel needing skimming. oh and a full service too. oh crap.

ah...

mark it was jase who agreed that david was my best option. he could really justify putting a warranty on a car hes breaking for parts as he simply wouldnt know the history of the box.

whereas ok a recon box is second hand too, rob at api will have inspected it and a 6 month warranty is better that buggery i suppose

nah man its cool. me and david discussed it yesterday. its definatley a recon box as his gearbox man, rob, is building to spec, as i only want a standard set up.

seriously, give the guy a bell, hes soo knowledgeable.

this is it. i trust jase to do the fitting, and trust api to get me up and going again.

the original gearbox was truley battered jason said, and besides the rec works on the basis that david will personally come pick up the battered box as a part ex on the deal. so i dont get lumped with a (to me) useless gearbox.

Definatly gonna give them a ring, probably gonna get gearbox sorted before it gets any worse. Its not crunching or anything like that, but its started whining abit once i start letting off the gas. Only does it in high boost though (1.2 bar) Seems fine in low boost (0.9 bar)

thats next for me... a remap to sort my boost out.

for some reason in cold weather, the boost comes and goes like its hesitating or over boosting. then in warm weather its smooth pick up
