Personally I would told them to foxtrot oscar and faced the consequences.
Unless of course this didn't really happen, as is the case with 99.999% of these "council bans union jack" stories
And whay wasn't it a St Georges cross anyway?

I suggest you read what's been said and you'll notice the points all three of you choose to ignore. I'll also say for the 3rd or 4th time, why aren't all three of you donating to her campaign? I still haven't heard where you'd draw the line on this. If she had Aids would you feel as strongly?
At least you know where the rest of us stand on the matter, we're not fence sitting or advocating more of us paying for the world's health.
If I do find myself with an illness like hers I've got an NHS to treat me as I've contributed to it through my taxes, I've also got private healthcare insurance. What I won't be doing is parking myself in another nation illegally and using their resources.

The reality is I pay taxes too, way more than most infact, and I want my government to do the right thing.
Using this same flawed arguement I could suggest as you feel so passionately about the NHS you donate more money to it, perhaps you should also donate some hard earned cash to some anti-imigration organisations, I'm sure there are some political parties out there that support your views crying out for donors too
Silly arguement really isn't it?

They did do the right thing. Deported her. Should have done it years ago.
Your arguments are silly, yes, I agree.

PB, france is 4 times the size of the uk, so they have 700,000 more immagrants in a country much, much bigger! see my point!
And bad for the country cos all the low skilled, low paid jobs have been taken up by immagrants, leaving no work for unskilled national people, so they go on the benefits!
And i agree "shut the **** up" wasnt an itelligent input, i just get wound up about this topic as i feel strongly about it!
The worst thing is, when they are settled in, they bring the rest of the family over, and the cycle gets bigger, it needs sorting now!
And m2005, i have a polish missus, and she showed me how bad the problem really is! Its not the politics of fear, its me seeing with my own eyes the extent of the problem!
PB, your last point in your last post is slightly wrong, most of the poles i know (and i know a few cos of the missus) work for cash in hand, so contibute **** all to our economy!

PB, oops theres me getting all "english national", then putting union jack and not st georges cross!! doesnt bode well for me does it!
And we did tell the council reps who came round to foxtrot oscar, but the landlord took them down for the easy life, much to the dissapointment of all the regulars!
What we want to know is why the council wasted money on investigating the "crime" anyway, And which cheif copper decided to tell all traffic cops to pull people with St. georges crosses over to "advise" them to take it down incase the car became a vandalism target over the worldcup period?
Surely they should be targeting the vandals (who obviously werent english), not the average supporter!
Its getting to the point where it goes against you if your english!

The reason I've not been drawn on the fairly contemptable 'if you care so much why don't you pay' arguement is that it's a completely dumb equation.

Where this goes wrong is where a policy of caring and providing services for an illegal population who reside here. When you start using tax money to provide for others you start eating into resources in place for the legal population or the rising of taxes to compensate this. If you want to fund illegal immigrants then kindly do so out of your own pocket.
The 'right thing' for our government to do is look after the people who pay their way and have a legal right to be here first, then worry about the needs of everyone else second. There is already a proportion of our tax that does go on foreign aid.
I'll not rise to your opinion that my thoughts are contemptable (sic),as your arguement (sic) is fairly facile and ill thought out. Quite silly indeed.

Where does it say I feel passionate about the NHS? I'm so passionate about it that I have private healthcare. I, like yourself, do pay my fair share of taxes. The reason we do pay taxes is for the gov't to provide services to us all on an equal footing, perhaps helping those at the lower end of the scale get an 'equal chance' in life.

Love to know why you think that was ill thought out, given thats the arguement you were using, or does it only apply one way?
You'll be surprised to know that I agree with an awful lot of what you say here. I never said we should treat all the worlds ills, I've never said we should have uncontrolled imigation, and of course it the government first duty to look after it's own.
But these things can also be used as an arguement for doing nothing!

Although I agree with some of the other points and data sources you managed to dig up. I don't see how the above can offer me any sort of comfort knowing that this surge of immigration has earnt our poor excuse of a government 6 billion pounds. We get to see none of that ourselves, so to what benefit is that to me or you?

M2005, possibly the same fans, yes, but we would never damage someone else pride and joy cos it had a portuguese flag on it for example!
Booing for us was a bit of nationalist fun, nothing more!
My mates car was damaged cos it had a st. georges cross on it!
I dont reckon it was an english person who keyed the car, then defaced the flag and left it there for all to see!

So you boo others nation anthems?
The fact that it's bloody disrespectful and shames our country isn't my idea of fun.
I don't think any of the behaviour you describe is acceptable.

It's accounted for.
£18billion of tax revenue
£12billion costs
£6billion profit
See?
Now if someone can explain to me how, when the country is in profit from immigration, that "most immigrants are on the scrounge" and "a drain on resources" I'll be happy to listen.
I don't fancy your chances , though.

Students having to pay £3000 a term! Maybe they should go and study in Ghana
It just makes me mad, Im only 22 but can see a change in Britain happening right now. We dont have a government available to us to vote in to sort the problem out, its only getting worse and i can not see it getting any better.
The sad thing is. By talking to people and reading subject related matters online. The majority of people living in the UK are sick to death of paying over the odds taxes and letting political correctness ruining the heritage and patriotism of this great nation, and there is sweet f*ck all we can do about it but keep working and watching the 'Great' from Great Britain crumble from beneath us.

Do you agree with that too?
You & Martin keep harping on about "Don't believe the press" yet you seem to belive everything our Government say.
The Government would never lie to us, would they?
