Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down. I'd like to take a minute just you sit right there. I'll tell you how i became the prince of a town called Bel Air.

Yeah, i remember the lyrics.

And some of those listed were a blast from the past. Classic!!

I was the pogo-stick champ on my street. But not for long ...

Skateboarding to school on a classic skinny plastic board with a pointed front and raised rear

Turning our blue parkers inside-out to form... the fizzy orange gang! Even mentioned in assembly by the head at middle school.

Jailbreaker - another daft playground game.

Smashing a load of empty mini milk bottles inside the local infant school playground during a weekend. Police came to our school and soon rounded us up

Throwing Stars (shurikens) - throwing them into the locker doors!

VERY early 80's - remember the 'cool kid' in school came in with one pink and one green neon sock on, and we were all jealous - he was also the first one to get a Raleigh Burner when they came out - and his dad bought him Mag wheels for it, then upgraded to the gold and black one everyone wanted.

I remember putting one of those old flat single speaker tape decks next to the TV to try and tape songs from TOTP - we werent posh enough to have a tape player with built in radio to tape them from the charts. The tape deck also doubled up for loading the games on our Spectrum - sit there for 5 minutes lsitening to that static noise, then it would crash.

People wearing 3 swatch watches at once on the same wrist - how cool was that ???

They did but we still all searched around for a plank of wood and 4 bricks so we could see how many people you can jump on a grifter..
I had boxer but snapped the handlebars when I wiped out giving a mate a backky down a flight of steps.

God do I feel ancient!! I remember all that..

I had a global hybercolour tee-shirt which was lilac and turned pink when it was warm...

Care Bears and My little Pony

Vanilla Ice ..I remember when a boy in my class was the first to get this.. we were so jealous!!

Alright. Stop. Collaborate and listen. Ice is back with his brand new invention. Something grabs a hold of me tightly
Flows like a harpoon daily and nightly
Will it ever stop,yo - I don't know
Turn off the lights and I glow.

To the extreme I rock the mic like a vandal
Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle
Dance - go rush to a speaker that booms
I'm killing your brain like a poisonous mushroom.

Deadly when I play a doped melody
Anything less than the best is a felony.

Love it or leave it you better give way
You better hit bull's eye the kid don't play
If there was a problem, yo- I'll solve it
Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it

Ice ice Baby

I'm sad

Mid 80s - the really spoiled kids in school coming in with Tacchini and Lacoste tracksuits ( one kid had a different one every couple of weeks ) - even back then they used to cost £100 a go - what kind of parents are mad enough to buy their kids stuff like that at 13 years old ???

I did really want a pair of the Nike air jordans though - thought the red/black/white ones were really cool

Anyone remember Polyveldt shoes? A man was claimed to have walked around the world in just ONE pair

The 80s were cool though.

Running home from school to watch this
