It is pretty obvious that the present system is most unpopular.

We are all big boys and can quite happily speak up for ourselves. I agree with DCI's original comment.

Changing isn't getting rid.

Only 42% want it gone - the minority.

Lets have a clear an open list of all the the people who have been infracted since the start and the posts they were infracted for. (I believe that a lot of the people who do not like it have the wrong 'reason' for wanting it taken away).

Then I think we should vote which idiots or trolls we want banned for life

Show me the stats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It suits me to stay behind with all the women , if that means we can start being a car enthusiasts site again and not a self opinionation society.

Regardless of the petty bickering of SN members, the fully paid up members of SN have not shown themselves to be honest, intelligent people with good judgement. Instead some have shown themselves to be pathetic backstabbing cowards. And the Infraction system has been the perfect medium for them to hide behind.
The powers that be need to rethink the infraction system in order to make it less susceptible to abuse by power hungry morons with delusions of superiority.
Anyone issuing an infraction should have to give reason for the action as well as filling out a complaint form that is sent to the recipient of the infraction as well as the moderators. The complaint will then have to be reviewed by the mods who will then judge the infraction to be either fair or not and then either let the infraction stand or withdraw it.
It may sound drawn out, but if members can't be trusted to behave with integrity then they shouldn't be given power to judge.

I'm not, and can infract.

I think that is a logical argument.

But, if it is a valid infraction and is upheld - why cant we go one further and get rid of the infractee???

I think I have done 2 - If anyone thinks that is excessive???

You know, I have just noticed I too can infract (Thanks for the heads up FP ). And yet it has never occured to me to find out whether or not I can infract as I consider myself open to debate. If I see something on the internet I don't wish to I have the power to choose to see something elsewith a simple click of my mouse. If I disagree with someones opinion I am grown up enough to put my point accross and listen to fair arguement.

The ScoobySlap

The basic point is, if you don't like something - don't read it. If it is really out-of-order RTM .....

Originally Infractions were given out correctly and stopped spam and glaring trolling ..... not now - I was Infracted for asking what the downsides were to mapping your car .... it was my own thread and a simple question .... which shows how pathetic it has become!
