When I went down there was a bad attitude and I went ape **** and told them to get the head postmaster down to reception NOW. After I told them I was going nowhere until the head honcho was brought to see me the missing package appeared as if by magic!!!

Tried them out on some dark country lanes last night but they are a little bit of a disappointment. I had driven the route with my GE General Electric +60% & then fitted the Philips Extreme and they did not seam as good as the GE Megalife + 60%.
When time permits I will do a proper back to back test with the car static on a bit of the lane where I can look at the light produced and range of each section lit up so that I have a much more accurate feed back and I will post on here.
I think that Harvey Smith has already done this. The post will be quite old now but it was enlightening (bad joke not intended!). Until I read it it hadnt really occured to me that there could be such a difference in 'standard' bulbs.

Right. I am just back in from testing these bulbs. I took someone with me but did not tell them what bulbs we had in at any particular time.
The first comment that was exactly in line with my thoughts was that the Philips Extreme had a very clear and sharp dip beam cut off and produced very clear light.
The General Electric GE Megalife +60% were refitted and having bench marked the Extreme in exactly the same places om the country road it was obvious that the GE had longer range on full beam and dip beam although perhaps not as bright and not as precise a cut off on dip.
For me I am staying with the GE.
I swapped the bulbs a couple of times and put the same set in twice in a row but the passenger knew which set of bulbs gave best long range vision each time they were used.

These bulbs cost me £24.99 on Sunday night. If anyone wants them for £16 including postage, drop me a PM.

Goodness me. What's come over SN tonight?

Second thread I have read this evening and, just like the first elsewhere, really good inofrmative stuff with no one slagging anybody off.

Thanks, chaps.
