simon is based in the Maidstone area but if you pay his travelling expenses he will travel (or you can go to him it's great after he's remapped a car then you get a nice drive home )

tbh i find that very surprising, i've even had my car trailoured up there at no cost to me which turned out to only need an ecu reset, what comes of driving it in -5 conditions lol.

and to say they dont give anything back, well tbh i don't believe that for a second, i've prob save best part of 2k over the amount i've spent.

I agree with you Tidg...I know that they can be really busy at times but you take the good with the bad..No one is perfect and I know Kev.He will do owt for anyone as long as they give him the same respect This is a tough business to be in as everyone has there own opinions and everyone has good and bad ones..All it takes is one bad one to override the 50 good ones..I will continue to support the clinic because deep down they do care and do the best they can do.All the Mechanics will go out of there way to talk and explain things and help you.... Keep up the good work

No Question Simon all the way

He mapped my STI5 Waggon on the road - after i had it mapped i ran it on the rollers and posted it up on Surrey scoobies - he read it and took it upon himself to phone ME up, saying he wasnt happy with the results and wanted to remap it again Free of Charge.

He arranged a time at Surrey Rolling road and remapped it and its now a exocet

BTW the reason it didnt perform as well on the first time round was because i was driving it hard enough

How many mappers would check out your results and take it upon themselves to bell ya.

I beg your pardon????

You bought a nearly new car from us and the only compliant you had was there was no spare key, we got a spare key and posted it down, you were moving house and the key went missing, we then got another replacement key posted that down to you and offerd to arrange programing that you would have to come to us for but you still have not arranged a booking with us?

Not hard is it!

And what did you do about it??

Nothing!

It seems that you are not prepared to do anything to sort this situation where as we are running around doing as much as we can but you don't want to play!

So please don't slag us of on this forum unless you post the full story!

Back on topic

We do all our maps on the dyno the finalize on th road, the best of both worlds!

Hi all ive have always taken my scoob to clinic and they have done a outstanding job on the engine infact they have rebuilt the whole car and what a car it is, ive spent alot of cash there and have saved alot along the way, its not always been plane sailing but thats motorsport the lads there are ace guys as i have said many times on here , they are very busy everyday and have to deal with good customers & bad, anyway back to the reason why this thread was started dont know anything about jgm but sounds like a good tuner and if people are happy with him then that has got to be a good thing for those poeple that use him however im very happy with the remaps done on my scoob pat & andy really know what they are doing and WILL NOT do something that is going to damage your car, after they map car it is then taken on road test for final tweek which could take 30mins or more of real driving and if there is anything wrong it will go back on rollers until its right, this is because they take pride in what they do and want you to ejoy your car and would like good feed back. if you are not happy with something all you have to do is give them a call and a chance to rectify it NOT go slag them off on here give them respect and you will get the same back and that goes for any tuner out there. there was something i read once that said "if you are happy with your tuner stick with them cos they will know your car inside out"

OK Ad now you have posted the side you no I think I need to post the rest , yea we bought the car in march of last year we phoned on numerous of occasions about the spare key ,kept been told it was been looked into ,then in august we got told that the clinic will have to trace it up with the previous owner ,( but from day one you said it was there somewhere ? ) still no key arrived then after more calls an emails we got told that 2nd hand cars very rarely come with spare keys, however as you know on this occasion this one did.
Most cars less than a year old would 99% come with the service book ? We never got that either!!!!

Reply 1
“As soon as we received it from the original short term owner we placed it in
a jiffy bag and sent it by parcel force to the address on the used car
invoice, I assumed you had got it as we heard nothing from you for a while. “

”We are still waiting a response from the main dealer,
due to the car being a maltase import the uk dealers are none to keen to
help. “

”Please bear with us as we try to sort out a key for you, pointless getting
annoyed, it wont make it happen faster, your beef should be with whoever
signed for the key at your old address, if any one did !!, maybe parcel
force just simply lost it, in which case the problem lies with them but that
would be a waste of time trying to talk to a faceless company.
You could of course short term get a key cut for around £6.00 at a lock
smiths, it will open doors and boot but wont start the vehicle, at least you
could rescue keys locked in the boot.
Working on it.. “

Next reply
”the car is a Maltese import which are the same as a uk they are just fetched in by motor point rather than a Subaru dealer.
As I stated before 2nd hand cars are not guaranteed to come with a spare set of keys, luckily this one had the spare set posted to me a few weeks down the line,
( So you never had it in the 1st place ? )

I then personally forwarded them to the address on the sales invoice via parcel force, if they have lost them then surly the problem lies there.
Go to a dealer yourself and sort it, try motor point in derby, sometimes in life you have to help yourself rather than expect others to do the work.
With an Email full of attitude like yours it gives me no reason to help at all, on that basis go see your trading standards office and see what they say !!
I will find out the parcel force slip and forward it for you to sort.

Yes we moved house just after but someone was @ the old house for weeks after we also kept the keys for 6 months & called in every weekday ……..

Why was I not told it was a import (strange ) so I phoned the garage where the car was from an was told its not a Maltese import but infact it is a Cyprian import , also contacted main dealer – not that it matters now

Yea we did get a key through the post that only opens the boot not the doors an as far as im aware the last email I sent you saying this

“I am still waiting for you to sort the programming out an let me no where an when”

but still not heard anything so gave up waiting for you an wasting my time calling you ….

As I said my 1st post was just my thoughts on both & I gave my opinion … Iv not got a problem with SC as all the work you did is 100% my only whim is the after service we got …. Im not saying it happens all the time but it did with us !!!! You have many many happy customers that will keep coming back but the thread was a question & I gave my answer/opinion & as above i car'nt fault your work @ all

well surprise surprise lol

how come its always the same? only negative stuff i hear baout the clinic tends to be nothing to do with them when the truth comes to light?

pmsl, alot of very happy scoobyclinic customers around
So we were in the wrong ???? I think not but if that is'nt enough then just shout as we have all emails etc....

Now this isn’t off topic as I answered a question & im not slagging the work that SC do End of no need to jump in anymore

It's quite an easy one this, find a reputable mapper near you and go to him.

We have heard good reports about JGM, if he is near to you try him

We use Pat Hebourn and are based in Chesterfield so if we are nearer try us.

Simple as!
