cheers people. will book it again first thing in the morning. i only got 1 minor and 1 major. i was driving down a street in a built up area i came to a junction at the end as was told to turn right. there was a car that wanted to turn into the street that i was in but he couldnt turn in because there was no room for him to as there was cars parked either side of the road and the road was narrow as it is. he stoped and let me turn right then he turned. but the examiner said that he had the right of way to come up the street that i was in. but he couldnt fit up and he let me pull out i had a bit of an argument with the examiner over this and he said to me its jus one of them things. but i dont understand why he failed me if the car let me pull out. wen i got home i rung the dsa and explained to them what has happend they said to me that he shouldnt have failed me. so they said they will refund my test fee and instead of waitin ten days to retake they will give me the next priority on the cancellation ohh well nothing will stop me from getting my driving licence as you say paul onwards and upwards

This isn't some game. Like referees his professional judgment should be called into question. As drivers and through no fault of our own, we can get into 'illegal' or awkward moments where situations quickly rally against us. I simply hold up my hand and say sorry.... Yes, prior planning and preparation may count, but when things are simply 50/50 then he should assess the situation and simply say you cannot be blamed for the (probably) bad or illegal parking (too near the corner??) and judgment of the other driver to play it safe and give a learner driver a bit more time and room to make your move...
Seems the main decision accepted by the DSA was that he shouldn't have failed you and you really should be issued with your licence and not another test, if that's the major fault he has that failed you on....
End of the day, (I really hope it doesn't happen) but you may fail the next test (plus more stress and inconvenience) and you really shouldn't have been there.....
Good luck mate... fingers crossed for the next one...

I agree Alan
Scott is a perfect example the same woman failed him i think 3 times he took it again and passed with someone different, she just didnt like him!!!!
I got a raw deal on my first test too, minor problems i think
1. setting off with handbrake on
2. going through a un marked cross road
3. 268 point turn
but then passed the second time
you will get there buddy just hang in there,
