That combined with the extra cost and MPG figures makes me sure i got the right car (for me at least.)

Interestingly, I didn't so much grow out of 4wd, just the Subaru (before I get flamed - I still like the car, and BOY do I miss the sound).... but time to move on.
I've got an Audi S4 (the older Bi-turbo'd one), and there IS something very reassuring about the traction from 4wd. You could of course argue that the Audi isn't a sporting car (I'd tend to agree with you too - it just has a bucket-load of torque and horsepower that is lazy to use!)
Granted on a track on or your own, I can see the attraction of rwd, and I'm planning on track car this year ( )
4wd does tend to be VERY forgiving on the driver's abilities (mine included!), but there is a very good reason why all THE best driver's cars and supercars are rwd - for the driver involvement.
You can discount things like the Veyron and the new Skyline etc, as they are moreso statements about feats of (staggering) engineering.

Beautiful. What are you doing on the PC you should be out wasting petrol!!!
Pick mine up next week...went for the 335i in the end over the RS4 avant mainly as I wanted rwd / paddle shift, but did love the B7 when I test drove it, esp the interior and that engine!

Thanks for all the comments
I've had the car since Saturday and all I can say is it is absolutely amazing. I haven't found one thing wrong with it. Just the car for me.
As soon as I hit a town I've found myself hitting the "S" button on the steering wheel...opens up the exhaust see, giving it a lovely head turning grumble
Its amazing how many heads it turns. I've filled up with petrol twice, and on both occasions people have come across to chat to me about it. Parking up in town always attract plenty of glances - some people don't like this attention but I love a car that can do this
If the weather stays something like at the weekend I'll give her a clean and post a few more pics.
(Does anyone know of any RS4 owners clubs / forums ?)

I will understand if no-one wants to answer this but what is the most efficient way of financing cars of this price. I'm a bit old fashioned and possibly mean but I think in terms of owning the car at the end of the finance deal. Might be wrong of course. Is there a way around this appart from the possibility of taking a 10k hit after a year on depreciation.
Thoughts on this appreciated, I'm self employed so get tax relief.
Thanks, this thread has set me thinking......I know very dangerous.
