stealth tax...PC...are people that STUPID!

this bloke was told aby a cop that what he was doing wasnt too smart - the bloke had two choices at that point...say "fair point officer, thanks for the advice" or behave in such a way as the cop thinks "well screw you mate...have a ticket"

this isnt a stealth tax.......its retard tax, and it should have been doubled!

I agree with Tiggs. If he was so stupid as to refuse to take the copper's advice, it is not surprising that he got a ticket. He was breaking the law after all and was offered the chance by the copper in the first place. Therefore he deserved what he got!

So is it now an offence not to take someone's advice ? Also it doesnt say if he was parked on the road or on his drive.

its not the fact that the police give advice. its the fact that they talk to you like a ten year old, Patronising.

I use the remote start on mine most mornings if the weather is cold, it saves damage to my turbo, warms the car up nicely and at the end of the day if my car gets stolen its my problem. which I doubt the Smash and grab thiefs can work thier way round a CAT 1 Clifford alarm.

We pay a very high premium for insurance and I agree that we should take what ever steps we can to avoid it getting stolen, but fined for leaving it unattended with the engine running is insane. The bloke paid for his car, not the PC, if it gets stolen with the keys in it and the insurance dont pay out, its the blokes fault.

Sorry fella but i disagree. The bloke has every right to question what a copper has to say, because he didnt agree with him it cost him £30. Thats how the police are. They are the LAW.

dont be a fool - do you not think that your car being stolen has a knock on effect for the police? its a crime, it may be used in a crime, if theres an accident it will be a crime.

is this donut day?

So i should keep my spade locked in the shed, If its stolen its a crime, If its used to hit someone its a crime.....

Dont be so stupid, Its not crime stoppers.

I agree cars with Keys left in them yes, crazy.

But what about mine with remote start, or the merc's with remote start etc.

the police want us to do thier job's for them.... so that they can find something else to shaft the motorists with.

It's not illegal to leave your spade out - it is illegal to leave the car running. Aside from missing the point you have grasped at it well!
