bioethanol is E85
methanol is different

Both alcohols and both need mapping for.

Bioethanol is simply ethyl alcohol ( (C2H5OH - ie normal alcohol) that is produced from crops rather than via industrial processes. E85 is a mixture of 85% bioethanol and 15% conventional petrol.

Methanol is a different type of alcohol altogether (methyl alcoholCH3OH), with somewhat different physical properties but similar chemically. However, unlike ethyl alcohol, methanol is highly toxic if swallowed and needs to be handled with a bit more respect. Having said that, E85 contains petrol components such as benzene, toulene etc, which are also toxic and carcinogenic, so TBH both need to be handled with respect!
