I am surprised you've wasted time by posting on this forum. I would have called them there and then, no question.

I have spoke to the police, Klaatu, just not logged it yet. I wanted some advice first and where other than Scoobynet. There are quite a few intelligent folks on here, contrary to popular belief

If its a lie or not, it involves the magic car word, so the old bill will nail him.

Your local Police forces website should show you who your local Police team are. Get in contact with them directly. Get them involved if only for advice but get that persons contact details be it the local PC or PCSO.
By all means install a cctv system. Just make sure you're not filming someone elses property.
Keep a diary of everything that goes on with this guy. Date, time, place, details of what happened etc.
If it needs reporting to the Police then do so, even if it's just for their info.

What's happening to you is anti-social behaviour.
The thing is dont think ringing them up once can solve everything. They need to know about everything that happens.

PM me if you want anymore advice

Great idea, then he make her life even more hell.

Please don't listen to sugestions like these, read my previous post and get ready for the long haul.

Scoring the odd short term point will not win the war in caes like this I am afraid.

Les - we have been having immense problems with a neighbour, since he moved in about 7years ago, over different things the most recent is parking - he threatened to 'deck' my dad after he asked the neighbour to get off of our property. Given my dad is still recovering from cancer and is 70 years old...

He finally left - after I managed to record a short video of him telling me that if I didn't 'comply with his demands, he would 'get me sorted'... I rang the police - who sent a Community Support Officer out to take my complaint - I didnt want to make it formal at that point as my mum ( who is also in not great health) was terrified that it might escalate...it ended up with the neighbour being warned to stay off our property, and to also desist with the threats etc...

I would have like to make it formal, especially as he is still causing problems such as playing his loud music to excess, punching peoples car windows in temper, and threatening to have us issued with parking tickets - even though we are not blocking or restriciting access to anyone or anything. I have had to resort to taking photos of neighbours who park in a similar manner to prove our point in case he tries anything

We were advised by the police to keep a log of ALL instances - whether it be the loud music or his dippy tart slamming doors, and banging on the walls for effect when he is away on business...the log is growing by the day, and I shall wait with glee for his cumuppance.

They are both very sad, but I think he likes to think he is the 'big I am' - but really i think he must have a very little *****

Make sure you log absolutely everything - and speak to your neighbours to do the same thing. CCTV sounds like a good way to go as then you have concrete evidence and not your word against his - cause at the end of the day if he comes back with something about you, it will be classed as 6 of one and half dozen of t'other..

I just wish he would go. What a nightmare. He blocks peoples driveways, has JCBs parked up all the time, even though he is now allowed to.
Parks camper vans in front of peoples window, you have no idea.

Like I said, I think he is unhinged and am a bit wary of him. I have had a few run ins with him, but today was the worst. First time a threat came my way

Going by that description the to55er probably posts here

Report it to the plod and make sure you have some 'handy' visitors staying with you for the next week to welcome trouble when he comes. Like the cctv idea too.

Sounds like a few photos wouldnt go amiss either, L. Carry a can of mace or something so if he does get too close, spray him...

My light hearted suggestion was just that. An attempt at getting a smile to cheer the OP up.

I didn't think for one min that it would be taken seriously.

Believe me I know how you feel. Even though I am a guy I am not much of a fighter and not particularly big and the neighbour I had trouble with was a big burly builder too funnily enough. The physical threats really put me on edge, but I now realise I made mistakes and didn't take it too seriously until it started to get out of hand.

I should have logged all the indicents etc. Had I done that the police may have been able to act quicker than they did and I may have been saved a bit of a kicking.

Please don't be alarmed as 99.9% of the time it doesn't get that far, but that is not to say it won't start to affect your moods and well being. In your own home and particularly with you having family that is unacceptable.

Please take it seriously and talk to the police, solicitor etc. as much as you need to and get logging those events.

Best of luck and if it all peters out to nothing you can come back and laugh at me with pleasure

Fair enough, but when you have been on the receiving end of one of these people it;s hard not to take things seriously. Sorry, no offence meant.

ask a few of the snetters to come down if it gets worse then ,just to intimidate him not do anything out of hand ,but im sure if id been threatening people which i do not and they was like 10,20+ blokes all parked outside myhouse i think id leave well alone and put my head down .
thats if it gets worse no one deserves to be bullied in there own home especially when children are around a home is where you feel the safest

Get the police involved, and all the neighbours complaining.

Clearly he thinks he owns the place. Its not going to be nice to complain, but then its equally not nice to just sit there and take it. You and your neighbours are going to have to look out for each other. There are more of you than there are of him.

Cameras only help so much, but they can be useful. Problem is that people wear hoods etc etc.
