personaly I draw the line at offensive / potentially offensive terms which aim to insult people by comparing them to those with affilcations beyond their control. Calling someone a Pikey is a strange one, as nobody would class themselves as one, though it is of course used in a derogitory sense.

Some people (everyone's mate Moses for example) like to compare people to people with learning disabilities, as an insult. That to me is crossing the line, and in face to face situations, brings out my less tolerant side.
I expect most dads would feel the same when someone insults their kids.

"Bar Bar Black Sheep".... is a classic example, along with the latest "Three Little Pigs" or "Cowboy Builders" as the story now goes...... and let's not forget the Hot Cross Bun incident

It's not the fault of the minorities that this happens, it's the majority trying desperately not to offend anyone....

The trouble is the majority don't actually ask to see if anyone's offended, they just 'ban it/change it' first as they believe that it offends....

Gypsy's (and the other minoritys) must sit back and laugh at how insane we come across at times, trouble is that for all the efforts of these do-gooders the first backlash is usually against the minoritys' as they are seen to be behind this change... when in reality they're as stunned as the rest of us....

So who have they really helped??
