Who cares?!?! If you really care what others think of the clothes you like/wear then thats your real issue... not your wardrobe! I would rather cut a nut off than wear some of the stuff i see on people, but fashion is something that open to perception. Ahhh.. the beauty of choice

Back on topic: I think you will find that Clarkson was mearly trying to add humour to a very dull subject (otherwise known as MY08 STi)... and to be fair he is spot on. What we need to appriciate is that we are an enthusiast crowd and exactly the kind of people that Subaru would like to attract but arent that bothered about anymore because their are many more non-enthuiasts than their are enthuisiasts (shrinking by the year and tax by tax). Understand the Subaru business plan, and you understand their non-offensive styling because ultimately it will make them more money than us lot would and at the end of the day they cant pay the bills in the e-kudos that we blow up their ***** from previous incarnations of the Impreza on this site

Technically it would appear to be a step forward though (albeit perhaps a less driver involving step forward) and our favourite japanese test team show us that here: YouTube - New Impreza WRX STI vs New EVO X vs Old STI vs EVO IX Race (for a car thats gained weight from what i hear... it really impressed me on this video)

Perhaps it doesnt picture or video well, but im waiting to see one in the flesh before i decide. If it looks anything like this picture then the dealer would be having to offer me £25k to take one off his hands...

Or even live anywhere near Manchester.

Got to say though, as much as I think Clarkson is normally spot on, he fcuked up big time with the Ford GT. All those TG's where he big'd up anything Ford to get one, just for his to turn out a dud made me laugh.

Bet they did it to **** him off

Clarkson turned up at a top prep school in Oxford to meet the Headmaster and have look around.

Unfortunately he bellied out the Ferrari he'd turned up in on a speed bump and, to their great delight and his great embarassment, it took 20+ of the little monsters to push him off it.

Very surprised he sent his kids there!

Oh look! More anti Subaru Impreza lobbyists.

Fancy that on a Subaru Impreza forum of all places.

Isn't it about time you monkeys buggered off and plagued another site?

not anti subaru , just mentioning some sad things people do

as it happens i have a 98 scoopapoo with a 2.5 lump in it
silver with big fookin dent in rear wing, front splitter glued on in black and white rear spoiler
it looks i think because its scruffy and i upset people with it
i don't call it a scooby, its a scoopapoo or subaru, and the uglier it is the better

when the lottery comes my way i'm getting a new subaru or a 22b then going to a big show for subaru's and still sawing the roof off to make it a cabrio and then i can use it as a pickup for old engines and gearboxes
its either the subaru or a ferrari 430 i'll be using

Like top gear and Clarkson alot but it's easy for him to slag off £25 grand rice rockets when he's used to ragging supercars around a track on a regular basis. Most of us will never get to drive porkers, Ferrarri's Buggatti's and the like let alone own one.

I'll never stop wondering why 'nosey mutts' always have an opinion about what others buy with their hard earned money.

I can only conclude who the sad ones are !!!! About time some peeps get a life.

You got the impression that an Impreza would know how to hold a knife and fork. And whether to have its cheese before its pudding.

Whereas an Evo, you suspected, would goose your wife, eat with its mouth open and vomit into the sugar bowl during the coffee and mints. A Ford Escort Cosworth, meanwhile, would stab you just to get an electric ankle bracelet and an Asbo.

Haha well I think that could happen to any of us. I'm sure a car that low is hard to deal with on a regular basis. Besides, just shows some ***** that he didn't let it bother him too much.

Unfortunately I think he's quite accurate about a small minority of the more visible Subaru community members.

No idea about the car though, someone would have to loend me one to find out
