The funny thing is it's not black/asian/green people that take offence to this crap. It's some middle aged woman stuck in some governmet office whose frustrated thatshe aint getting any because her husband is banging his 18 year old secretary. so decides to take out her frustrations by righting the wrongs in the world

we are being dictated to by people who have little if any common sense and seem to have made it a career to apologise on my and others behalf about just about everything.
Who suffers by her lack of common sense and whooly thinking about stuff that does not matter to anybody but her and her left wing study group justifying their jobs, salary and pathetic existence. US!
You do not hear Muslims or Jews, etc. going on about it or wanting it stopped or being offensive but you do hear it from someone who has probably never spent time or energies learing their cultures or belief but feels she knows them, thier religion and what is best for 'them' and us.
Needs sorting out and soon. these PC people cause create/problems and bad feelings, not help sort them.

I'm afraId what i was going to say has already been said and **** like this justs gets peoples backs up,even those that aren't easily offended.

What annoys me so much, is that it isn't people from certain races, that are objecting. TBH, if that were the case I would be inclined at times to agree with the whole, 'if you don't like' attitude, but it isn't the case. It's the government, PC warriors and media, making the decision to 'ban' words etc. and they are creating problems that simply aren't there, other than by their own making, and creating so much tension and hatred as a result.

I agree .... by the PC brigade 'trying' to please some they will alienate a lot more and cause friction .... There is NO problem until things are highlighted. We all 'put up' (for want of a better phrase) with things that we have to live with day in day out, not race related issues... the weather, all sorts of things. Why keep highlighting things like this? and putting peoples backs up and further widening the divide between cultures by MAKING people different

When I made my post I was thinking of the original film. I wasn't commenting on the Peter Jackon re-make, where the dog "******" is called "Trigger" for American markets.

Wont be long before we will be detained without charge for 42 days under the "Prevention of Terrorism Act" for saying such inflammatory things such as "three little pigs" etc. They did that to that 80 year old for saying rubbish at the party conference-that was only for four hours though.

Yep, I was soo offended by that I suggested to my nephew that he sang the original lyrics and if the teacher questioned it on the grounds of racism, he was to sing raibow sheep, modified thus (should put what is racist and what isn't into perspective)

It's an amusing way of making a common sense point!
Saying "baa, baa, black sheep" could not be construed by any right- minded person to be racist!
If the rhyme went as I suggested, then yes, there might be an argument that it had racial connotations, but, then again, it MIGHT just be a fecking kiddies rhyme with no sinister discriminatory overtones intended!! The colour black (or darker shades) are usually associated with scary/negative stuff in childrens literature and indeed, in adult fiction!
Are we to believe that this is some sinister ploy on behalf of the authors to engender/promote racism in our kids from an early age?? Of course not!!
There are Soooo many more serious and worthy issues related to racism in this country to deal with. The sad thing about this kind of crap is that it undermines the genuine cases!!
As previously stated it is also invariably the work of someone not from the community that they deem would be offended by it and ends up doing more harm than good to the cause that they purport to represent i.e. equality!

In the paper today it shows a photograph of the new XRAY machine which scans the trucks in Calais as they board for Dover.
It shows an example and you can clearly see 2 illegals hiding in the truck.
Now wait for it.................
Officials have said that they cannot scan any more trucks unless they get a signed OK from said illegals.
FFS - there are some right fecking ********* in power.
