What does "heavily glazed" mean in the context of selecting scallops? It seems to be a negative. dl

The meme-sahib thinks it means they have a covering of ice when they are frozen. Hence slight reduction in price because of the extra weight

Had them last night DCI. There are 4 x 1/2 shells. Each one has got a thick sauce made of several ingredients including a touch of garlic-not excessive. The scallops have been cut up and they use just the white meat from the muscle. The shells have to be put in a hot oven for 20 minutes. The sauce gets a thin crust on the top. The flavours of the sauce do partially overcome the flavour of the scallops but overall it all tastes really good. I shall buy them again anyway

Thanks for the link. I used to live not far from there and my mate and I used to be compelled to visit the magistrate's court occasionally for the odd offence on our 'bikes!
