See below for a Spec C V-limited.
Subaru : 2006 Sti Spec-C V-Limited
You could always give me £18K for my STI V-Limited LOL.

Exactly it's a niche market, I mean how many people go out looking for a Spec C in the Subaru 'scene', never mind your average punter, which the OP seems to be(no offence!). IMHO some of the MY06 prices, that 'some' of the importers are charging are way, way over priced!

Hawkeye spec c's should fetch 20-21k all day especially with the new hatcback looking so ugly and the fact that there's no spec c varient available yet in the new shape.

18k is dirt cheap end of. Should be an investable bargain at that price especially come the summer months !!!
18k is about right for an STI haweye and cheap for an 07 with low miles let alone a spec C although imports in general are a grand less like for like on hawks (spec C not included!!!!!).

Thanks for all the advice and comments. Much appreciated. The number they seller has provided does not seem to be correct, so cant get in contact with him. Whatever is meant to be is meant to be!

£18k is a bit of a steal.
I think some confusion is coming from putting "Prodrive" in the description. Some people do that to increase their ads chances of being found.
Rawness of Spec C vs Torque of UK2.5

Last summer, Motorsport News had adverts for Toshi Arai Ltd edition models spec C's for under £20k.
BUT, these were for motorsport use and rally prep.
Similar to buying a new hawkeye for under £20k direct from Prodrive - again for rally use and technically it couldn't be registered without a cage being fitted.
So it could be along those lines.

Also fitted are foglights (useless IMHO) and a prodrive mesh grill
2.5 STi prodrive - I presume you mean one fitted with PPP as there isn't such a model?
For the same money spent on PPP, the car can be liberated with much more torque.

I have had a Spec c(view my scooby) and have now got a 2.5 STi, as most ppl say its a raw car and is very noisy etc, however it is some motor and is truly a great car on the road, but as tony said it is best for short journeys as you are involved all the time.
I would have kept the Spec C but first child on the way and the STi is a bit more refined and comfy, although my Andy forrrest re-map and full de cat makes it feel as fast.
That is a Spec c in the ad, has just lost the white wheels that come with it, also i recommend you get it re mapped for UK fuel and a decent ex with sports cat.my insurance with kieth michaels was exactly the same for both.
you wont regret it whatever one you get

TX i wish i could have, one of the provos i said to the missus was that i could have a Spec C but if and when we got pregnant i would get a "normal" STi.
Give it a couple of years mate and i will be back to a Spec C, well she doesn't know that yet though, lol
Miss it a wee bit already but got a cracking deal as well especially on Subaru RESIDUALS AT THE MOMENT.

I've got the UK 2.5 STI PPP and i love it, think its a great car for every day and very comfortable to live with... (View my scooby)
I've not driven a spec c myself but know many people rave about them... but as i say, i am chuffed to bits with mine![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
