I'm not saying everyone in Bradford is doing this but there are a LOT.

Traders policy - any car, any driver.

Then pass the certificate around your mates (or rent it out! - another profit avenue)

The statistics talked about are registered cars without insurance.......Gang of lads with high value motors, one certificate = low shared cost and it *looks* like all the cars are uninsured but when the police stop someone, they produce a valid cert.

The irony is that it's the Insurance Companies fault for allowing trader policies, go figure.

The reason nowt's being done is because the perpetrators are all Pakis, that is the inference in this thread just nobody has actually said it. I won't beat about the bush tell it like it is. I'm old fashioned you see call a spade a spade. Fact of the matter is if people are taking the Michael deal with them, if a loophole is being exploited close it simple.

I drive through keighley twice a day in a works Sprinter van and agree totally about the way the morons drive there.
They think they own the road and pull out of junctions without stopping which pees me off so much i now aim for them as i know at the end of the day when i get back to work all i have to do is fill in an accident form and can go home in my undamaged car.

I worked with an ex baliff a few years ago who said whenever he went to a house in bradford to collect a payment/ seize goods it was always a case of " it's my son you want but he's gone back to pakistan, india, etc" and the courts never bother to chase the fines up so they get away with speeding offenses, parking fines, insurance, etc

I know a lot of other areas have the same type of people but bradford and district has got to be 1 of the worst?

Mentioned above is the riots they had a few years ago in bradford, not much was mentioned about the BMW dealers that got torched and when sifting through the remains there seemed to be a lot of things missing - so not just a riot - more of a looting spree

I went to Bradford once and was scared ****less on the roads, nobody stops at give ways, red lights mean nothing, also saw one guy overtake all the stationary traffic at a set of lights, by driving towards the oncoming traffic then executing a left turn

Channel 4 tonight at 9 about the work of Special Investigations at NU, and the fraud in this country, I suspect this area will feature prominently

It used to be. Mostly due to the IRA etc staging accidents to generate money, I would guess that certain areas in the UK are probably worse now. Will see what NU say in this programme.

About 9 years ago I was driving behind a van in Leeds. Not the best area of God's city, to be honest. An old Corolla just pulled out in front of the van and the van smashed into it - no fault of the driver. Within 10 secs of the 'accident', 20+ people were on the street, all over the van, trying to drag him out, claiming he was a maniac driver.

A complete set-up. Lucky for the van driver I stopped and passed him my number. A few weeks later I was contacted by a claim investigator and agreed to provide a statement for the van driver.

To my amazement, the Corolla driver had claimed he had 5 people in his car, they all had spinal damage, and the van had ploughed into them as they were at traffic lights 50 yards on from where the Corolla had caused the accident!

Van driver was awarded injury claims for his whiplash and Corolla driver and his imaginary family were prosecuted.

Lucky ****** that I was there. He never thanked me LOL

I'm surprised ( and pleased) they got prosecutes. This seems really popular now, manily on the M62 corridor. The insurance companies don't seem to speak to each other, or they'd realise the same names keep coming up.

One good reason to have an in car camera I suppose

or avoid West Yorkshire - Manchester, I try!

It has been going for a long time, and it is the section of the community we all dare not say, they engage in this and have been doing for numerous years, my mates dad was a copper working on this in the late 80's, they are very clever about it. Different sections of the community all commit crime but there tends to be a pattern, I have said it before based on my experience when I worked in the Police.

I drove through Bradford a few months back (Nov) and a young Asian guy wanted to show me how fast his white classic Scoob was compared to my Saab by driving like an idiot through a town centre, I cant imagine what his insurance costs must be, he looked about 20, it was modded and Bradford central probably isnt the lowest risk area so I can only summise it probably wasnt insured.

These are facts and observations, not racism, racism is irrational hatred based on fear and ignorance. I dont hate anyone, I just wish they would stop barging into each other taking the claim money, not insuring, using the trader policies etc, wherever they are from as it bungs my insurance up as well, there is always a cost to this kind of thing for someone else, its not a victimless crime.

They ring up and insure a car in their dads name, all seems ok and cert of insurance is posted in the post. Few days later they ring back and say you have the policy holders name wrong. Its not M*****d its K***f, thats his middle name blah blah. New cert gets posted out with a new name as the policy holder. Not all certs have the insureds DOB on, just the name and model of car. Keep it in their glove box and hope if they get pulled police wont do a full check on them.

Thats just one of the many tricks.

Can't believe that they can get away with that. It really would not take that much effort to have a concerted session on checking drivers' insurance and prosecting them with heavy penalties. Totally unfair on the innocent drivers who might get hit. Used to be considered a particularly serious offence a while ago.

I lived in keighley for 6 years upto '95. The place was ok to begin with but just went down hill. I had to drive through Bradford daily on my way to work in Leeds. Both places imo are terrible these days and in certain parts akin to slums or shanty towns. The whole area needs a massive overhaul.

re The BMW dealer that got torched, its was only a stones throw from the police station, you would of thought the police would of been able to protect something so close to their own offices.

You just cannot say this, according to NL things are getting better all the time, crime down, socal and racial intergration are going well all i can assume is that you are some right wing BNP plant here to stir things up.

Britian in 2008 and under NL is a utopia, we are all very liucky to be here - especially the illegals

Driven through and worked in Bradford a few times, only seen rough areas and places i would not want to park to make a call let alone live.

I often w*rk in Bradford and concur much of what has been said. It seems some races only integrate to a certain level, as in they don't obey British laws, don't patronise British owned businesses and don't like people not of their race even entering areas which they populate greatly. You could say that their behavior would be considered quite racist, but as they're of ethnic origin they obviously are incapable of such a thing
