Use one/both of the following if you mean something in a humourous way:

Otherwise it just looks like you're trolling/being rude

no cars back at home safely....

for the £925, api built me a reconditioned gearbox and shipped it from warwickshire to rotherham.

for the £769 jason...

recovered the car from my house
removed the faulty gearbox
replaced it with the api one
supplied and fitted an unrated exedy clutch
threw some nice castrol syntrax oil in the gearbox and rear diff
did a full major service (bar cambelt - only 14k old)

I'll freely admit it was me who infracted that post. I'll justify it as follows:

NS04 was absolutely spot on:

IMO The joke is that someone would post a response to a thread of that nature! Just saying "Who cares" I mean, really, what was the point of that post, other than to troll?

People who are going to be like that this site could do well without! THEY are the ones that turn a forum into a slanging match and a joke!

If the poster had nothing constructive or at least friendly to say, then the should keep quiet!

Wasn't me that infracted BTW But I think that one was perfectly valid!
It didnt look like a comment posted in a friendly banterish way, especially when you look at a couple of his posts prior to that (one of which was also infracted). It just looked like someone that was p1ssed off and looking to stir up trouble. The definition of a Troll.

I dont have anything against the guy, but with him being a newbie, he might now re-consider how he posts in future.

well as you can see i dont post often myself and have nothing for/against the o/p or the member that received the infraction but in my humble opinion if the o/p can be so vague with their opening post it actually appeared to me as though they were trolling and i can actually see why it got the "who cares" reply.

The thread now has all the info in it and so makes sense but his first post was an absolute waste of time imho, just look at the first couple of replies it received - people were having to guess what the topic was as it was so vague.

And yes i do like to use many words when only a few were actually needed!

Regards
Rick

This forum needs less policing and more out there on the beat!!!!!

right then boyo...

if you notice, i spend most my life on here, so generally people know me and my posting style. so for someone who doesnt spend their life on here, or know my posting style, to assume my opening post is trolling.... il let the measses debate on that one.

plus, many on here (obviously not including you my dear boy), know of my recent car troubles, and in several threads i have kept people upto speed on the progress regards the two companies i have been using.

so ner ner ner ne naw <<< notice helpful use of smilies to distinguish lack of trolling post
