By sheer coincidence, there's a 17 old with massive hooters who's been chasing me for a while, but I don't think that rattling her is going to make me feel any better about the original problem ! That would make me just as bad surely !

In all seriousness, if you're not happy, you need to talk about it - not accusationally - and if she's straight (if you excuse the term) with you and you with her, then either it will work out or it won't.
But unless it was pretty clear that this wasn't supposed to happen, and / or she didn't tell you herself, then she hasn't really done a lot wrong mate.

Well she did tell me herself in quite some (pleasantly lurid) detail, but when we'd talked about it beforehand the idea was that we'd both be together. I guess its the fact she's gone off and done it without me that's hurt the most. Also my girlfriend mentioned that the third party in the equation would be unlikely to join us both as she has a boyfriend as well !! Now in my view, if this was the case she shouldn't have done it, but what the hell do I know, I'm only a bloke ...

hmm.. in that case mate. As crap as this is going to sound, I would either a) dump her, or b) reframe your thoughts about the entire relationship that its just casual. Otherwise I think you're heading for a world of pain.
Of course, nothing is a simple as a 5 line post on scoobynet can convey, but that's the way it sounds, and you're clearly not happy, and there's nothing wrong with that.

As per Scoobychicks recommendations, maybe indoors gives the best shelter, although a large umbrella can be used in the sun, and for protection a very civil dog can be used.
