If you love music, can you really sum it all up with just one song?

I love music, and really can't pick a favourite, I guess it depends what mood I'm in.

When I feel low, Hold on for one more day, by Willson Phillips (sp) always picks me up.

Far too many to list as a favourite would change dependent on mood but Ray LaMontagne's version of Crazy would probably make my top 10 if I had my chilled head on.......

Well, Im no expert, although I have seen a track listing on Amazon crediting John Cale. Anyway: for years I thought that it was a Jeff Buckley song (not Leonard Cohen)!

So it does ... but not the text. Or here: Rufus Wainwright - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia or here Shrek Shop - Shrek: Music from the Original Motion Picture by Various Artists - CD

I actually bought the album (sad I know) and it credits Rufus Wainright. Bizarre, I wonder where John Cale fits in.

You are both right, it is John Cale's version that appears in the film

Rufus Wainright recorded the version on the soundtrack because a dispute between John Cale's record company and the company distributing the OST prevented Cale from appearing on it

[QUOTE=Bubba po;7623785]JJ Burnel (Stranglers), Peter Hook (Joy Division) and Barry Adamson (Magazine) have the all-time most gut-wrenchingly emotive bass guitar styles in the history of music. There are no other serious contenders.[/QUOT

well I guess from your choice of music - which I do like - if i said Mark King is a truely great bass player you would laff. You would be wrong !!! check him out on any you tube links he is awesome just plays different music to your type

He was good in a tehnically very able way, but he was the antithesis of 'great'. His bass was completely above the bollocks ffs!

No point in arguing, Buckley's is the superior version

So Hard to pick one track, one hundred and maybe I could do it, but if it has to be one I'll go with

YouTube - Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
