I think andy is saying he knows why Prodrive have used Ecutek for some years now.
How is the open source effort going with 2008 cars? Ecutek does it now.

I have no idea Paul. I am only using it to access 2006/7 ECU.
I guess it will be some time before anyone in the wider OS community has a requirement to get the xml definitions done for the ECU partly because, as you know, it takes some time to disassemble the hex tables and partly because there arent many on the roads.
Anyway, by that time I will be using Simtek and enjoying live mapping switcheable heaven

The 2008 car uses a completely different ECU design, hardware and all, and a completely different comms canbus based protocol. It's not just a case of sorting tables.

I had Launch Control and High/Low setup by AF. Standard practice i believe.

Having Andy L and Steve S down at ours on Saturday , have arranged for a DBW car to be available for the day so they can have a play with one in one piece...
The owner is also fairly keen to upgrade to the SimTek the moment it becomes available , this will go with his GT30 hybrid we are fitting and mapping on Ecutek next week...
