Well, for the extra £125,000 for the Lamborghini you get an extra half-star out of 5.

Now, call me a fanboi of you want - but a £26,000 car.. plus maybe £4,000 of bits and bobs from our favourite vendors.. and I think you could that that extra half a star and give that Lambo driver even more to worry about Plus you can put a kiddie seat in it.

Having heard the rumour from a dealer -- I am now a bit less unsure.

However, from what the EVO article said, the car will definitely handle more power.

I can't see the 2.5 handling 400bhp to be honest, let alone Subaru/Prodrive offering a warranty on such a package.

Aint that the truth. There would be no problems then.

There's evolution, then there's a completely new model.

Had this from the prodrive guy's mouth at the Autosports show:

There's no way the new car's going to be anywhere near 400bhp, would need stronger internals for that and a 3yr warranty (~£5k anyone..?).

They'd like to think they could possibly get 340, although it could be no more than the current model/RB320..!

Well nice review by EVO i must say, shows the sheer capability of a Scoob! I'm not to sure about that rear on the scoob tho, it reminds me of a Civic.

OK -- I'll believe what Prodrive say in preference to what a dealer says.

I think Litchfield have got one up to 350-360 brake and have dealt with the ugly lights on the back!

Litcho's STi is a JDM model. The Jap spec 2.0 is a much stronger engine.

I see a picture of it in EVO today, and its either seriously planted or something is seriously wrong with it! The tyre looked like it was nearly coming off the wheel and the wheel trying to come off the chasis

OT, but:

I was impressed by the fact that unlike TV presenters, Bovingdon barely looked at the camera and kept his eye on the road instead. I'd prefer to be driven by him than Clarkson.

Same here.

Although I'd take a classic over the new Impreza, it really does look tail!
