Cool

Great day out well done Wozza

Top marks to my partner Colin as we finished 5th overall which was quite respectable considering the amount of blockers I had to carefully manouvre past

Dazza I dont know what you mean fella. You'll be telling me Arsenal should have had a penalty next

Ms Gooner well done

Even the weather was spot on

my arms are aching and I'm sure my back is bruised - but absolutely worth it.

I was really quite dreading it after the briefing as I've never been near a track of any kind before let alone karts and you all did seem rather competitive - however, i was smiling ALL the way round - totally loved it and can't wait to do it again.

Both Stella and I are quite chuffed that we came in 16th and although I predicted spending my day in the tyre wall - I wasn't there once

So when's the next one

A big THANK YOU to Wozza for organising this event

I had a great time although somewhat bruised today...I didnt realise Ms Gooner had the pedals forward and felt I didnt have enough room for my legs as they were under my chin and are today bruised from the steering column

My son Chris was also glad to be driving...In the week leading up to the event he was saying...I wished I could drive...Why cant I do it etc etc...So he very happy and he and Kev came in 13th which very good even with the 5 minute penalty

Whens the next one Wozza??

Well done Wozzaa, good event. When's your next birthday

Ed, you got us in the top 4 before I took over, well done mate.
you were about 15th when the race started. When the green flags came out you were near the pit entrance so had to do 3/4 of a lap before the start line.
The 1st team across the start were team 16

Well done everyone else, it was a good clean race.

Its not all about speed - sometimes it comes down to driver ability - obviously thats something you lack out on the public road, as we've seen - and you did have an advantage having being VERY used to only having TWO pedals!

not at all. you should know me better than that. iyrc, i sent mark a text a couple of times asking how he was. like i would do with any esc member i have the mobile number for.

i'm getting fed up with this place and the way it's going at the moment. people jumping down each others thoats for comments being made on a forum where you can't tell in what tone they have been said.

i'm not taking sides before anyone suggests it.

some of us try to make this place better for others by trying to diffuse situations between people we consider friends. and not have this sour atmosphere happening again.

if i feel i need to, or want to comment i will. it's a public forum. on top of that i've paid my esc membership badge and also my sidc membership. i try to organise events and help out so that others can attend so it brings members closer together. rather than arguing online and going in opposite directions.

there was no need to reply to the comment on the thread. you could have sent a pm.

i guess there's no trying to help some people.

Matt, you may be right, but the way the post was written, i also thought it was meant rather than humour.

Yes, we all take the micky, in fact i have never been involved with a group that winds up and banters as much as here, and that is one of the things that I find fun, and therefore continue to take part. But with all things there is a line. Yes I took the mick out of Mark sat, I think I know him well enough to be able to, plus it was very obviously made in jest.
