I can imagine the stick your gettin bud, but mate i've just had a couple other bits put on this week so will be near enough 300bhp now, will be gettin it set up properly then there's manifold and full system and custom map towards the end of the year so you better be gettin a good few bits an bobs to give me another good go
Seriously tho mate, yours is a quick car and very nice also, one of the nicer scoobs in aberdeenshire anyway chief

That's how i wanted it you see. Didn't want it to loud or lairy etc. Exterior wise it's standard except for the black vents and foglight covers on the front are done in carbon with a small lip spoiler in carbon to match.
Interior 100% standard as it's just right as it is.
Engine: K&N, Bluefin Remap, GGR Sports Cat(although it's pretty much a decat pipe), Silver sparkplugs, Magnecor 8.5mm ignition leads and most importantly Forge Actuator set for turbo to peak at 21psi and hold 19-20psi.
Still need to get it 100% set up but it's the torque that the things got that impressess the most. It's got get up and go from very low down in the revs, does spin the front wheels now but it's all good fun.
Not sure how much further i want to take the car as don't want to go past that useable point. Although there are lots of guys with 340plus bhp in the RSownersclub that don't seem to have any problems.
If i remember i'll take some pics and post them up.

i did notice the green classic tried to keep up but gave up about blackburn lol.
my poor scoob had an absolute roasting that night, i left it idling for ages. when i popped the bonnet you should have felt the heat coming off the turbo.
It was hilarious in the car as i said to my pal " oh aye an rs, watch this i'll waste him". then after the second roundabout it was more like " aye aye he caught me off boost wait till i change gear we'll blow him on the next roundabout" which soon turned into..... i hope that bugger pulls over there's no way thats standard

I know the feelin mate, had a couple run ins wi guys where i think "no way he's keepin up with me, or pullin away that's just not right" sort of moments. Did make my day that night tho as i'd just newly had a couple bits put on and wasn't sure how it'd fair against anything let alone a scooby.
Best bit is my best mates got a ppp 07 scoob and wasn't sure how i'd fair against his, do now
Slow *** scoob
Only jokin
Seriously tho, i'm not takin the pi$$ mate

your mate isnt the guy with the grey wrx/ standard spoiler is he? there is a tidy white hawkeye floats about oldmeldrum.
it was quite funny i was picking the blonde up from the tunnels in aberdeen and after your encounter i was too scared to race anything else that night.

Andy, found it..!
From about 2yrs ago, a 200bhp+ modded Octavia v's a standard 221bhp WRX wagon (note the scoob driver didn't launch as car was fairly new..!):
Video of Std WRX v +200hp Octavia - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The scoob driver had another challenge a few weeks later from a mate of the Octavia owner, who recon'd his 220bhp Octavia would beat the scoob, but the outcome was the same..! (also had this clip, but can't find it )
PS these were work colleagues, scoob owner posted before 'race' to see what chance he stood. Everyone said he'd be beat once rolling, only having an advantage off the line..! Obviously they were all wrong..!
PPS the power difference was maybe 10hp in favour of the scoob, yet the on road difference is quite significant, but how can this be if the AWD losses are so HUGE..?

My Focus ST before I started returning it to standard was last RR'd at 292bhp and that was slower than a RS that was 30bhp down on power on me. The FRS is a great car.

I think you need to consider the other things that affect how fast a caer will accelerate mainly the gear ratios, I doubt there are many cars with gear ratios as acceleration orientated as a scoob. Also don't forget that an octy is only 1.8 so the power is probably being made at higher rpms so the scoob has a lot on its side really.
The fact is that the impact of 4wd transmission losses relative to 2wd is frequently overstated. The Impreza most likely still had more torque than the Skoda which most likely had ist torque limited in the 1st few gears to prevent wheel spin. No such issue in the scooby.
