Had the same said to me several times, water off a ducks back.

On the other hand I work in an FE college, and all my students want to drive it and think I am pretty cool for having one (they are between 16 and 20 though!!).

Also, my wife hates it - but on the rare occasion she has driven it, it has never gone so fast.....

Im the only one with a scooby, 4 of them have got GT4's theres a CTR and one very very quick supra

just to wind them up a little bit and show it dosent bother me ive started a little group on facebook... Chav Motors appreciation group!

If you guys think you have it bad, you should try being female & young haha! I get soooooo much greif from guys but that is probably cus they are jeaolous that I can beat all there 1.2 corsa's LOL!! I normally get a lot of greif from older guys in BMW company cars hehe!! Have a pair of ***** for the day haha!!

Its pretty bad when your asked by some dumb bint why you have fitted the turbo scoop and spoiler to your Sti as its has ruined the look of the car.

I recently got an anonymous letter through the dooe from 1 of the neighbours telling me get rid of my boyracer car and get a REAL car!! and to stop warming it up before i drive it or they will call the police!!! Now I only drive an classic sti - it aint perfect but sure aint no **** skip either and im proud to own it,so at first I was annoyed but now I get some kind of sick pleasure knowing that im really pissin them off!!

 

I also work in FE - when I had my Scoobs, the students loved them!! Had a ScoobySport exhaust, which was LOUD. The downside was that EVERYBODY in the college knew when I was coming and going
When I changed to the S4, (NOT that it matters!), the students weren't overly impressed

However, their minds were changed when one of the "driving" students in his Cupra GTi (he's admired in the group) came up behind another S4........

and had his a$$ handed to him on a plate - not exactly difficult though
They all look at my car with a little bit more respect now

It doesn't actually matter though - sure as hell doesn't bother me. It just makes me laugh

ps I have to admit that part of the reason why my last Scoob went was the image. Granted, mine wasn't chavved up. Just a tidy MY99 DBM with loud exhaust. But others around here were, and gave everybody associated with the marque a bit of a reputation Usually young whipper-snappers

Funny that because round my way there are two types of scooby driver, one with a flat cap, roof racks and a towbar, the other is normally sporting a baseball cap. To be honest I think scoobs have boy racer in their genes, fast, cheap to buy and so expensive to insure you just don't bother, or you get mummy and daddy to pay for it. I think if you get upset that someone says you have a chav or boy racer car you are very naive to think it would be any different.
