sorry been away for a couple of days.most greatfull for the replies especialy jaytc. my original problem was to decide weather to get it done as cheap but properly done as pos or get it uprated while its in bits.
am still not 100% sure till the final report comes in but if its ok i`ll defo use the original engine.
one final question if anybodys still looking. if it was the ring that caused it why would it run spot on all the way home ,including sitting in a 2hour traffic jam then a 130mph blast through holland cos we were late for the ferry with no problems at all.hot day as well.
