seriously bad that light bulb in food, almost sounds intentional by one of the members of staff doesnt it

i think had i of cut my mouth to pieces i would take em to cleaners

but if no harm done i would of expected a free meal with a few free drinks and put it down to bad experiance, you were very lucky not so of cut your mouth to pieces

Glazed Risotto isn't a new idea, maybe just a different approach though?

go for a court case. i definately would. you should see if anyone has eaten glass before, find out what happened to them, and sue them on those grounds. if you hadn't noticed the glass you could have been very badly injured. could even have killed you.

sounds extreme but thats the best way to go through a court case

I've eaten at the Marchmont and never had glass in my meal. Please don't sue them though - it's one of the better pubs in staggering distance from home!

I didn't intend to sue them, I actually drink there quite a bit.

I am however going to speak to the manager again tonight, and see if he fancies offering a complimentary meal to regain our custom

Failing that get in touch with the local health department, also if the restaraunt has a RAC/AA star rating report it to them too because they will be bought down quite sharpish beleive me, had a simular problem myself when I took my wife out for our 25th wedding annervesary, went to a restaraunt and when my main meal was served a live catapiller crawled out from under my salad on my plate I went mental, I threatened to have them closed down, Hope you get it sorted!!!!!!!
Cheers
Colin

Been there a few times, but usually at lunch. Shame it ruined your night.
