One or several of the following: Poor idle, car stalling/threatening to stall at junctions, hesitation at about 4k rpm, if the car suddenly seems noticably more pokey

if you ignore it........knackered engine!

Any doubt drive off boost and get it checked out. 2 min job for a garage withe the right software. Prob free of charge or cost ya a pint or two!

hmm got my wondering that my car does idle funny sometimes when i at red lights with clutch and brakes on..... almost as tho it wants to cut out...... drops from apart 800rpm to 500rpm ish....then back up

tho sometimes when i just put the handbrake and put into neutral the idle is fine again.... could this be a MAF prob?

Any dodgy idling should be investigated by a specialist; it cold be the maf and, given the consequences if it does go, its better to eliminate it as the cause early on. The check takes 5 mins and will often be done free of charge. Circa 80 quid for a new maf, if needed. Drive the car off boost till then.

What exactly have you done Tidgy to get yours to 340 ? Did you put the same box back in or did you change it ?
