Well if I had NR shares at the moment - I'd consider them worthless and anything you get back is a bonus. The whole thing is a mess to be honest. What made me laugh this morning was one of the hedge funds that holds about 10% of NR shares saying that the government should give them £4 a share as this was the 'value' of the company - right OK, so no one is prepared to buy them at the moment, when their share price is 90p and you think you should get £4.... I think there will be a few less people working in that hedge fund later this week.

The equity value of the business is nothing, paricularly if the government guarantees weren't in place (without which it would have gone under by now). The debt outstanding is massive - and it's that that the government is effectively taking over.

Which would be fine IF the government knew how to run any organisation, let alone a complex financial one, and IF they were confident that property values will be robust.

Hmmmm. Yet another piece of Labia nonsense. Time for change me thinks.....

I suppose it means we (as in the UK taxpayers) are now major sponsors of Newcastle Falcons Rugby.

Do we get free hospitality?

I do feel sorry for the employees but I can't say I feel sorry for the shareholders jumping up and down wanting to sue.

Thats just the luck of the draw if you want to do the equivalent of invest your savings at the bookies

After that Dispatches programme last night, it looks as though a few more banks could go the same way due to greedy actions and risky projections falling through!
