I've always regarded choosing music to suit the equipment as rather back-to-front - the tail wagging the dog, if you like. Sadly my own preference in music - see MusicNonStop.co.uk - is simply not available on anything but CD.
Compressed, over-processed CD, more often than not - but at least it saves me money on the exotic hi-fi I'd probably end up buying if I thought there were much point
