As for the moral standards being ablakc and white issue, that's just being silly.
Obviously I wouldn't discard a friend because they had committed adultery but I'd be likely to make sure they'd know where i stood on the matter
I wouldn't use the term 'low life scum' (hence where the confusion has come from) but I certainly wouldn't rate them highly on a scale of morality

And should we judge people based on thier actions in this respect? I mean we dont know how they feel or what has driven them to this cours eof action.
But liek you say you opinions are coloured from your own experiences.
I can see where you are coming from
I would say that all racists are complete ****s, that are thick as ****, and I certainly wouldn't have one as a friend.
And if friends make racist comments I pull them up on it pretty sharp.
So I guess it what is important to you in terms of "this is an absolute no-no" and in that respect we are probably all quite varied in terms of what we find acceptable or not.
Interesting stuff

I would never grass on a mate, i ******* hate grasses!
If it was the other way round, and the grasser got shopped in for benefit fraud, bt a so called friend, im sure he wouldbe v pi55ed off!
Next he'll be watching who has more then one pint in the pub with car keys on the table, then phoning the feds
Or grassing up everyones favourite chinese man who comes round the local with cheap **** and dvd's
Get on with your own life and dont worry about other peoples, or you will end up being a curtain twitcher, worrying about everyone elses life in your street instead of your own
Theres an old woman round here who makes it her business to grass people up for anything from dropping litter, to noise after about 5, to parking on yellow lines(which everyone does cos they are in a stupid place and there are never any coppers about), not only is she a figure of hate and ridicule, but even the council are getting pi55ed off with her
No one wants to end up like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the first paragraph I made it clear that your personal values should decide for you whether you feel you should keep an adulterous friend as a friend or not.
The point about low-life scum was an exaggeration to make the point about judging a man by the company he keeps. To make it again to avoid confusion: if all of your friends were known thieves and you found thieving to be a despicable act, how could your personal values allow you to remain friends with these people? You will naturally, over time and almost sub-consciously either change your views on thieving or you'll change your friends. Or I suppose you might try and change your friends views on thieving.
