Great some good food for thought there guys

Great idea about not buying in the UK, I know a few people in Goa, and my Dad is going there very soon, might get pictures of one I like/think she will like and get one made there.

If you have someone in Goa I have a guy out there who can sort you, he is also the only govt approved valuer in Goa so his stuff is genuine, I myself have had a few things off him so I can vouch for it.. PM me if you want his e-mail etc.

Just prioritise the importance of showing off overpriced trinkets on yer fingers compared to sacrificing other things you enjoy together.

It's all a big con in my opinion - De Beers control world diamond supply tightly so as they can charge a huge sum for a sparkling bit of carbon. Only experts can tell the difference between real diamond and Cubic Zirconia anyway - so is it THAT important to your life to swallow the two months salary 'rule'.

Reality however is that you can get something gold and diamond that looks really nice for well under £1000 if you avoid the high street Ratner type shops et all (the man who let the cat out the bag...). I just bought one in this area Jewellery Quarter Hockley Birmingham. Far better quality and value than High St. Did just the job without having to sell a fast car or live on soup to get it

I was completely shocked and overwhelmed that he had gone to the trouble of choosing a ring for me instead of taking me shopping for one. Each to their own, and only u will know whether ur girlfriend would rather pick her own ring. : )
The way it should be
