Cheers,
Yeah, I'm an Ex-pat living in south Germany, so LHD and German plates!

Absolutely loving the car! By far the best Impreza Subaru have ever built and this is my fourth one since 1998, so I can say that with some confidence!

UK is being **** on a bit with the options list at the moment! I'm sure you'll get the sport-pack equivalent soon enough, but you're seriously loosing out with no Recaro seats or keyless entry!

Nice car and it looks great in white! The only thing that lets the car down is the rear lights but am sure you can do the mod Litchfield have done with the red surround
Has it got the recaros or are these the 'normal' seats?
BMWhere, could you post some pics of yours?

..was also told that a 400ps Prodrive Pack was being developed for it?

I have to say that the new Sti has really grown on me. Love both litchfield's black one and your white one...nice to see something different.

You are absolutely correct Distinguished Gentleman. Well spotted (although the wheel is rather large).

On a different note. I haven’t been out in the car much today (mothers day and all that), but I did notice this morning that I am averaging 19.7 MPG (only completed 80 miles, but the average is still rising) and I have been driving in Sport # most of the time. I was only averaging 22 in my Focus ST. Running the Impreza on Shell V Power. Ran the Focus on BP Ultimate 97.

Nope. I’m not sure if you can get them on the Type UK. They were not on the accessories sheets I have seen.
I have ordered a front fog lamp kit, but it has not arrived yet. I did not get 18” alloys as my insurance company (Esure) said this was a modification (would not insure me). I’m sure I could have argued that this should not be the case, but I couldn’t be bothered with them anymore. I have had much better quotes (way cheaper) from two other companies anyway Admiral and Elephant. So I will be shopping around for new insurance in July and fitting 18” alloys at the same time (no problem with adding 18”alloys with those two companies, maybe more will be the same).

Green light or Aplan also seem to give good quotes for Subarus

Default MPG

Just for the record that’s my average MPG now above 21 (21.1) There is so much grief on the Focus ST forums about how the new Subaru is a gas guzzling melted Rover. Well they can still think it looks ugly (although they are only kidding themselves) but as I have stated here, I was averaging 22 MPG in my Focus. Two of my workmates were also averaging 22 in their Focus ST’s. So it’s official – compared to the Focus ST the STI is no gas-guzzler.

Nice one m8 Glad your enjoying the car, I also picked up my08 sti on sat morning in Guess what WHITE the best colour but put the prodrive gt1 alloys in anthracite on. absolutly love the car got some accessorys on back order but still enjoy the car without them.

got a record 27.6 mpg out of mine on the first day I realised you have to reset the trip meter on every journey to get it to function properly.

Have you discovered the hill start assist on the car yet where it auto locks the back brakes on for a short period of time to assist with setting off on an incline

was advised not to go above 4000rpm for the fist 1000 miles as mine has had the running in oil drained and filled up with proper stuff.

rob ... yeh I noticed the hill start too ... pretty neat little tool as on steep inclines it totally stops you from putting too much pressure on the clutch. nice little touch.

have you played around with traction control as yet??

BELOW IS SOME "OLD" SPEC SHEETS BUT MAYBE NO BE CORRECT NOW, might give you an Idea of spec differences or what to look for that's missing

Default Handbook

Thanks rob84. Hadn’t noticed the hill start assist, will have to go and try it now. The supplied handbook must be the worst I have ever had with a new car. It tells you nothing about the STi. Obviously a lot of the controls and functions in the STi are standard for the Impreza range but a lot are not, so it is a bit of trial and error.

My MPG is now pretty constant at 21.8 – 21.9 MPG.

I would presume that my oil has been changed from the running in oil too, as I have not been advised to come back and get it changed. I have been keeping below 4000RPM as well (with a couple of exceptions, forced upon me - honest). Love the Prodrive gt1 alloys, very smart.

Should here about the Front Fogs before long and the STi Carpet Mat Set is due in 30th March for me.
