It'll be alright as long as no one mentions:

a) The World Cup

and

b) 1966

Have the cash to move abroad, but decided to move into the countryside. Out here we dont have anywhere the same level of inner city/suburbia problems most people experience.

i know i would
All those are perfectly good points, but to my mind the really important reason is the Orwellian society which is coming in the future.

Say's the man who writes a post complaining about how usless Polls are.

Ahh, that must be where I'm going wrong - So, despite it being a poll expressly asking for your views, you can only post in a thread if you agree with the Original poster?

Riiiight.

Not true anymore in NT, speed "limits" were introduced a few years back. Mind you, I'd rather be doing 110kph when a "beg red" hops in front of you while driving. You clip one of those any faster, goodbye to yours truely. Big red, just hops of with a sore hip!

You have to remember a lot of people on this thread will be fairly young and won't remember how bad it was here in the seventies and eighties, we've got it easy compared to then

I love the UK and wouldn't want to live anywhere else, moving 200 miles north to Yorkshire was enough of a culture shock so I don't think I'd fare well abroad

I voted yes but for alot different reasons to the doom mongers regarding this place going down the pan. 70 years ago people were fighting for this country, 70 years on theyre giving up and leaving.

Anyway, my reasons are purely because I want to see the world and experience other cultures, wouldnt want to say I wouldnt come back though. Nothing wrong with where I live

France for me, i like the people, food, the country itself has more to offer me than here (sports wise) and just a better lifestyle from what i have experienced over 24 odd years of visiting. Sure the grass isnt always greener, but the mountains are higher and the snow is better.

Ok, well then, when you get to meet a "big red" hopping across the road at 110kph just in front of you, in fact across your roof as you pass, I suggest a quick "poop stop" to change one's undies!

May I suggest that a good old fashioned, elegant and somewhat patriotic English "Stag" is equally able to ruin ones day while driving.... so I fail to see the need to travel halfway around the world to in effect 'make this somewhat disjointed' analogy....

Have you seen the "bull bars" on "rural transports" here? Similar to the UK? No. UK have none. There is a reason for that. Size does matter, as well as volume!
