Being self employed it totally depends on how much work I have on. This time of year when its pretty busy, probably works out to around 30 hours a week, in the summer when it quietens down more like 15.
Average week I would reckon on 20 hours - which probably equates to the normal 37 hours most people in offices etc... do ( 20 hours of actual work, 17 hours taking breaks, chatting, looking on the web, gossiping etc... ).

I do 17 hours a week for an employer, approximately 65 hours a week moderating on here on a voluntary basis and the rest of the time I work for myself running a small business.
So that's 17 hours of work a week altogether

I'm in by 7:45am usually and then I leave at 5:30pm (4pm on a Friday), plus half an hour each side travelling. I don't do weekends though.
I take up to an hour and a half for lunch, usually spent in the gym. The job is flexible enough so if I need to come and go at other times I usually can as long as I meet my deadlines.
I do put some hours in when I do overseas trips, usually early starts to make flights to europe and return trips from the states are nearly always overnight, plus by doing the hours I don't lose weekends travelling.

done about 90 hours a week for the last few weeks. I'm self employed and business is very good at present.
Travelling time is a 10 second walk upstairs to my office!

Contracted to 37hrs per week but i would guess my average would be around 50... that said there are peaks and troughs depending on what project milestones i have coming up.
On the plus side, after tomorrow i will be working 0 hours for 9 days, magic!

My resource profile says I'm at 167%, I work all hours day and night, I'm on call 24/7 for business continuity and crisis management response and I guess I actually do around 3 hours a week
