While I don't doubt the truth or noobyscoobys post the fact is that many high street business suffer in the same way from jewelery to toy shops many high streets in small towns in the UK are turning into charity shop streets.
That is not a reason not to try though. The best at what they do will always find a way to survive and make a living. The key is being prepared to work 70-80 hours a week for less than you might get being employed, just for the satisfaction of being self employed.
The part that interests me is wether people care about dominance of Large corporate chains and the decline of independant High Street retailers. The likes of green king are even trying to standardise their pub brands so every pub will end up the same. Am I the only one who cares about this soon we will ave no choice. Green King, Tesco and Wetherspoons might end up supplying everything we need.
