put it this way i let someone else drive my car the other day and grabbed the seat. On doing so i thought what the hell are these indentations on the seat? She does nothing but gasp at every spool. She is a case for for heart failure at an early age! I don't care its my car. How many people have had the gf ask to get out?

My wife loves it and you who've met her can only agree, sometimes she's just sad that there isn't more girls on meets like her talking about xhausts and what thrill it is when the turbo kicks in and about upgrades and all the "boys stuff"
I love her and yes more then she loves me![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

My missus loves the scoob, thinks it looks like a 'lovely car' and it's a wagon too ( MUCH cooler than the saloon
).
She likes the whistling sound of the Turbo and thinks it sounds nice since I had the Scoobysport back-box put on. Mother-in-law bought me a Boost Gauge and pod for my birthday
!
We are due to have our first wee-one in the next week and wife has no worries about the wee-one in the back of the scooby either.
I must be lucky but gawd why are all these women whinging about your car/interest .. I mean you could drive a sensible Mondeo but spend all your hard wonga on lap dancers/****/coke etc ... mind you some of you might own a scoob AND do this![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
I think it's great my missus appreciates my car

My wife doesn't really like the scoob....she likes the fact that it's quick but in her own words " You drive like a dick when your in this car".....
She does drive it occasionally but thinks that it attracts too much attention from the Max Power brigade. I've told her that it's not the car their interested in but her![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

She's just got a 206 GTI and is quite happy with that but for some reason refuses to race me....
(and so she should cause that we be irresponsible
)

My wife and my 2yr old son absolutely lov the scoob and the meets, infact i cant shut her up or get her too leave when we're at the track days. She also drives it more than me and she's the main insurer as i would not stand a chance. Insurance is still way to expensive but worth it for the power.

When I took the STI out for a test drive with the wife in the back and pushed it a little, the response was - "If you buy that there's no f**cking way I'm going to drive it"
Now I cant get her out of the thing, uses it for the shopping/kids run during the week.. When I drive it I get accused of driving it like a looney - well it gotta be driven once a week hasn't it..

My girlfriend loves it, even more since I had the full Scoobysport exhaust system put on. She even cleared out her garage so I could park overnight However, this could be a part of a cunning plan to be insured on it. I have stated that when she insures me on her bike (XJR1200 with a trick exhaust) I MAY consider insuring her on the car. She said 'never in a month of Sundays' I say 'likewise' ![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)

Mrs just loves the Scooby. She had a hand in picking the first one four years ago. Has bought half of the bits in the current one (STI pedals, mats and STI boost guage) for b'days and Xmas pressies. ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
She can't wait to clap eyes on the STI7 next week when I collect it. Her pet hate is gold wheels (mine too - oh god, I'll be cheap and tacky!), but we are stuck with them until we can afford to replace them.
scoobynutta555, I have heard women called all sorts of impolite things, but wagons! Please, have some respect for the fairer sex.

she even asked me one night, "chris, who do you love more? me or your bloody scooby"
so i replied "washing it or driving it!!"![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

My girlfriend, Gina, loves my Scoob, but then she did used to drive a 20 year old 911. She realises what an amazing car it is. In fact it was Gina who persuaded me to try a Scoob in the first place. She even prefers the shape of the wagon. She certainly drives it quickly at times and was caught speeding at 87 mph whilst slowing down, so I have had to buy a radar detector! She loved it even more when I put a magnex exhaust on it. I am planning on giving it to her if I get an Sti7. Then we can both turn up at Scooby meets in a Scoob.
As someone said earlier in this thread, Gina wishes there were more girls at meets to chat to about Scoobs.

My GF loves it!..... she loved the old Scoob and she now loves the new P1 even more, didn't cost me any more to get her insured and I can't keep her from behind the wheel. She insisted on me getting the SS exhaust fitted to make it grunty and spends more time deciding how I have to spend my money on the car than I do. Drives it like a maniac (I'd call 125mph on the A30 going to tesco manic)and has a wild glint in her eye when an opportunity to overtake arrises.
We're off to the Highlands of Bonny Scotland at Easter and she's insisting on us going in the P1 to try it on those twisty turny roads up there, don't know if my heart will take it!
Anyone wanna borrow a Test-Pilot for Imprezas to find their limits?

well my ex now coz of the scoob "partly", hates it, she says that i think im mr it on the road, and the car is so ugly! I get told i dont pay enough attention to her when i clean it on a sunday morning, while she is asleep! Oh and the classic is "you spend more on that than me". When we split she said well you got your car and now i smile at that!!!!
Still i would have swaped the scooby for her but dont tell her that! I have to say the scooby is the best car i have ever driven and i just think the girls say thay hate it coz there scared of it.

My girlfriend hated my Scoob. In fact STUPIDLY its probably one of the reasons I ditched it last year - and semi-regretted it since.
I think she found it a little ugly - and not 'trendy' enough - which I know is ridiculous, but thats *some* women for you. One of the other reasons I ditched it was I thought the Turbo is fast developing a bad reputation - its now come down in price enough for the testosterone-charged baseball cap brigade to afford, and is now the new 'RS Turbo' [flame suit on]
I'd love to buy another in the future as a 2nd car, as the AWD is really handy. Plus I miss the sweet Scoobysport exhaust note.

I mentioned to my girlfriend the other night that I was thinking of a change to a Volvo C70 T5 cabriolet and I was gobsmacked when she said "You can't get rid of Scooby"
She treats him like one of the family, doesn't like driving him cause he's bigger than her Clio but she likes the power. I think I'll talk her into a V6 Clio, now that'd be fun.
O.M.

No - but she hates anyone in a blue subaru jacket. Particularly when the offending blokes other half wears one.
Apart from that she loves it. Although she prefers her mondeo 'cause she "doesnt have to worry about damaging it" !!!!!!

dazv,
yep the m3 is an amazing motorway blaster, & is very refined, had a schnitzer chip & zorst, sounded fruity enough, but the thing has such a fat **** that when it gets out of shape there is no hope, + ive been embarassed by boy racers in the twisties, m3 is lovely & all but the scoob has given me a lot more laughs, i will not return to bmw for a looong time, z coupe m series hatchback thing would be the only exception though.

My wife bloody loves it, can't keep her out of it! She's urging me to move up to a P1 or STi, which is no bad thing! After selling it as 'a practical family saloon car!' she doesn't 'want anything slower than the scoob ever again' .... enough said, she loves it!
