Well I guess it was easier back in the 80's, as the voice over for the car sounded...well gay!

The problem with a series like this in this day and age is believe-ability. Not that some dude can drive around in an intelligent car that can change colour etc but that he can get away with shoot outs and car chases etc without anyone noticing. Plus series these days need an underlying story in order to hold interest. Saving the day or some dissy blonde every week won't wash these days.

When the intro music started my wife looked at me and said "I can see you grinning you big child!"

The Hoff is sporting one too many face lifts though.

Pretty sure its either got a series of green lit for a series. I thought thats why Bionic Woman was canned so quickly to make room for this.

I would imagine Ford will be able to pull strings at Fox. It is an hour long advert after all.
I think with something like a US series in having a car that is more intelligent than the rest of the cast, but slightly dumb compared to a toaster built in a China knock off factory is wondering if the actors are half laughing under their lines.

The car was not a bad choice and the whole nanobots idea is original and well executed (kind of makes it believable that KITT can absorb damage etc). Problem is you have half baked production items throughout the film, the electronic dash in KITT, looks like something taken of an NES console game - same repeating rainbow coloured display.

They should have at least some time in making the dash in a few shades of blue or red to give the car some bling points. Interior looks like it drove through halfords with a club members discount card.

Still looking forward to seeing this get made as a series as it will cash in some money. The Terminator franchise is actually looking good, just watched the latest episode of Sarah Conner Chronicles and I have to say it's got a solid story now and is going into a lot of detail about the history of Skynet, Terminator and John Conner that you never find out from the 3 movies (or 4 seeing as the 4th one is in production now).

I'm still waiting for the tv series to drop in Arnie Shartznickers in a 5 minute role as a hotdog seller.

Pilots are still called pilots once the show runs a full series aint they?

On the NBC pages they keep talking about "the series"
It's been refered to in some places as a movie special, tv.com, epquides and imdb all don;t mention anything else in the pipeline and they're usually hot on that kind of stuff.

Hopefully wrong tho and they do at least a series, give it a chance to develop.

LOL, she should have stayed on Eastenders.

These things tend only to work if it can pick up a hardcore fan base early and keep those fans interested.

Battle Star Galactica has quite a complicated under lying story. In the 2nd or 3rd series the producers were worried about dropping audience figures so made the writers focus on single episode stories. This dropped ratings until they focused back onto the story and the ratings went back up. This is why BSG has been given its 4th and last season (although buggered a bit due to strike)

I liked the look of Journeyman but got it seemed complicated which put me off.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles has only 9 episodes which I thought was supposed to be 12 which may indicate an early bath for that. That doesn't surprise becuase when a series is born from what is quite a violent film it never works - anyone remember the Robocop TV series - theres you answer then

I'll be amazed it doesn't get at least one full series.
