Well the guy who sold me the car has promised me it was still in the tank and has asked why my tuner would even bother to take it out???

The only reason I think it has happened is because it was worth a pretty pennie and as he thought I was keeping the car standard, he's took it out to sell on to make some money for himself... I'm trying to get hold of him now but guess what, I keep getting answerphone...

Sorry to hear about your pump issues, not seen the inside of the pump before its quite a chunk all in all.
Wont you ECU re learn the correct on boost level with some use
No, sadly it doesn't work like that Kev.

When we mapped my car, Andy noticed the car was running lean higher up the rev range. So Andy has adjusted the injector duty to counteract this problem. The problem is now that the fuel pump is delivering the correct amount of fuel at the top end and therefore it is overfueling (big time, black smoke un' all)!!!

I have spoken to Andy F already and he has said it will be fine off boost, but it will overfuel on boost. Andy was amazed we actually got the 22B as high up the power scales as we did running a standard fuel pump!!!

I'm just gutted mate, but I suppose it's only 5 weeks until the mapping session. I have waited this long another 5 weeks won't kill me...

Well I suppose looking on the bright side once you get it sorted its unlikely to raise it it head again, better for it to have shown its self now rather than later.

That's a nightmare with the fuel pump Richy but on a positive note it's lucky you have found it as that could have caused problems if not discovered... image the scenario of another mapping sesssion still not resolving the problems... at least now one more map will wake the beast up fully.

That's calipers look absolutly fantastic !!! what a difference a coat of paint makes, in retrospect I should have painted mine red before fitting them on as well.

£60 well spent me thinks...

Now just the brackets in the engine bay and the powder coating to be done and we will be nearly there!!!
