Yeah i agree a very serious performance drop .....
But ...
If it's anything like our little ST the drop in performance is made up for in driveability , Cant comment on the "Focus" ST , But the fessie ST , Though now labbled CHAV
Is a f awesome motor to drive 
Im lucky to have the choice of scoob or ST sat on the drive , I Take the keys for the ST Everytime now

Ah the Alfa, the only car you don't need to say anything about because they are all gorgeous
Oh the fiesta is a fabulous car but it's the chosen weapon for any chav. Believe me my 16 year old cousin is dreaming about getting one and he's more chav than most chavs. So an adult driving one sort of gets labelled with the same brand

thats the real point, worried about what other people might think!!! - speaks volumes.
these are great little cars that actually require some driver input, unlike other new models out there.
plus a black stealthy one of these babies, subtly modded, i certainly wouldn't say no to. (would be blast on track too)
Dave, might be worth getting a few (car) mags mate, not for the reviews, so much, but to see if you overlooked any other makes models - the last 3 years have seen some cracking cars about.
not any easy decision, by any means.
give me a shout if you want someone to "shop" with you. i'm not a ferrari mechanic or anything, but i could save you from the dreaded "salesman"

Frayz is correct I've not driven it much since the remap but hardly noticed any torque steer. Completely different to my old 200BHP RS Turbo I had a few years ago which dragged you across the road when planting it!!!
I was quite shocked how much difference it made TBH, been standard since Nov and was quite happy with 225. It's only that we bought the remap with the car that I mapped it at all. It is quite a beast now. It's the torque what is impressive.
Offers there if you want to go out for a spin.
