oh dear, this thread has lots it's way......

I thought it was all around the nice pair of bubbled Scoob's, now it appears to be a lesson in English grammar.

The originator of this thread needs to re-address his comments, hopefully pulling back some positives from the original starter....

Warrender you say ?

I have to say my experience of Warrender is that they were the worst sport cra garage in the country that I have had the experience to be in

The Cars were always way over priced and they werent even that good, especially the 2 22b's they had in before they shut down

And who in there right mind would let a Parrot walk all over them whilst in the showroom (seen that happen quite a few times in there)

I don't get it. If you storing them to keep them in tip top condition then why aren't they on axle stands and why are you cranking a cold engine every week?
If anything what you are practicing atm will do more harm than good.
Either use them or store them properly.
I have a friend who has one in bubble storage, It's nice people do it as without them we wouldn't have any classics to look at and admire.
My days of car pampering are behind me, I prefer to drive them now

the first one went in a bubble to stop people touching it and marking it so when I got number 2 it would of looked funny one in and one out,I start the first one about every 6 weeks and it starts first time. The second one hasn't been hear all that long but that will do the same and I never put then in a bubble to keep them prestine, since I got them they have both just had a quick clean outside haven't even touched the insides (don't need it)so they are just as they came over

Well if I where you I would properly store one of them, keep it wrapped up properly.

And use one of them as a track day/weekend toy

Best of both worlds. Keep everybody happy

If blu scoob wants to buy a fleet of 22b's and keep them in storage then thats up to him. He earns his money and can do what the hell he likes with it. Jealousy is a terrible thing and its raised its ugly head a few time on this thread. As has been pointed out if it wasnt for people like him people like me wouldn't have a chance of buying rare cars they missed out on in the past.

For example I bought a mint 10 year old UK DC2 ITR with only 27k on the clock. Regarded as one of the greatest drivers cars ever made and if it wasn't for people like blu scoob I wouldn't have one sitting in one of my garages. I also have a MY05 STI PPP and soon a Lotus Exige S, these cars are only driven at weekends and never used in the wet as I like to keep them it tip top condition. Please don't chastise me for it, I bought them and I can do what the hell I like with them.

Be happy for the guy not jealous.

It's a facile argument that you can only keep older cars in good condition if they are bubble wrapped and never driven. I'd go even far to say that unless the car in question is totally unique and very much in demand by very well monied collectors, then it's fairly pointless to look at storing as an investment. Sadly a 22b can easily be purchased for the price of a new Ford Focus, and TBH I can't see the price going north for a good many years yet, if indeed at all. The uk 22b I had once sold for over £45k second hand, I sold mine a few years ago for £24k. I'd imagine its worth is around the same money give or take £500.

I have said earlier that it's the guys own money and he can do what he wants with it. It's just sad to see 2 cars that are meant to be driven often and hard in storage for unknown reasons. And, as earlier I hold that opinion for ANY car not just Imprezas. Jealousy doesn't even come into it

I saw these cars today in the flesh, I can understand why you want to keep them in the bubble. Whats with the EVO wagon though????

Hmmm, interesting thread.

I have a 22B (mind you, the common as muck JDM version ) and do about 10k miles a year in mine. When I first bought the car I didn't want to leave it anywhere or drive it - I was caught up in the mystique(?) of the 22B.

However, after the wife threatened to sell it if I didn't start using it I take it everywhere and I get much more enjoyment from it than just looking at it sitting in the garage.

Have to say though, if there is one Scoob that you can just admire then, imo, it's the 22B.

Might not agree with hiding these away under cover but good luck to you all the same.

I personly think that the 2 I have shouldnt be driven because of there miles but if I wanted to drive a 22b I would buy one with abit of miles on,It dosent interest me to drive a subaru every day, cant put the dog in it and I dont think you get the benefit of the cars while there in bubbles but to keep them good they need to be in there.if I was going to pay 18 ish grand for a 40 or 50 000 km car I would buy something else because I dont think I could have that money in a car that old for every day use,but everyone to there own,I just like mine to look at,
