Air rifle incidents against cats and birds have gone up in recent years. I suppose that's OK is it?
If anyone hurt my cat - he's very mild mannered and doesn't poo or wee in anyone else's gardens - I'd be very angry indeed, not to mention very upset, as would my 9-year-old daughter who's very fond of him.

I noticed a few cat ****s in my garden the other day when cutting the lawn. I had to tidy them up to avoid my daughter possibly going blind if she gets it on her hands and rubs her eye.
Dog owners get grief, and I believe prosecuted, if they don't tidy up after their pets. Whats the score with cat owners then? Or is it just that cats don't **** and if they do they bury it? - which is quite obviously bollocks.
If a dog harms a kid, there's uproar. When a cat ****s and blinds a kid, nothings done. (Mrs's mate's kid is having her eye popped out to remove the disease behind it due to this.)
IMO cats are cute if they belong to you, but a right pain in the **** to everyone else.

you should be a journalist for one of the tabloids judging by your ability to take a sentence out of a paragraph and twist it! taking it compleatly out of context and making it seem like somthing other than what it was intended to be which was a joke! how do you think my fish feel when they are clawed to death by a cat! that some inconsiderate cat owner has decided to inflicked on the local wild life including birds and frogs? i wouldnt mind if they were hunting for food but they just gore them to death and leave them but thats ok because its just a fish, frog oo a bird and there lives dont matter!!!!!!!

I have a blowpipe and a box of dried peas in my upstairs study and frequently shoot at them. Although the buggers still wonder through our garden so it's not that effective.
Go the ultrasonic route mate. Think I'm going to invest in one or two for the summer.
Cat **** is awful stuff and I often find it on my drive

how come 2 people got infracted, we got some cat lovers in here?? sorry to say, but the guy who posted this thread wants people to reccommend what he can do to get rid of em, and people are going to come out with some good reccomendations... if your a cat lover, i SUGGEST YOU STAY AWAY FROM THIS THREAD AND THE INFRACTION BUTTON....
i use a catapult with ball bearbearings... soon as i see a cat, the ball bearings start to fly. soon gets rid of them.

I am an animal lover and do object to people posting ways of huring ang causing suffering to animals. Or is it ok to inflict pain on cats.
Just Imagine of this was about dogs or swans and some posted feeding them slow acting poison or polyfilla or whatever, not nice, no need, totally uncalled for.
I hate to see suffering caused to any animal, not just cats.
If you think it ok to do so then perhaps you should seek professional help
The forum is read by kids as well as adults so think before people post up potentially dangerous and also illegal stuff.
I for one do not think it right for people to post up different ways of creating pain and suffering for any animal!
I think you will find any infractions will stand due to the posts being offensive in nature.

to the lady who said her cat is mannered and trained... good for you love, but not all the world is perfect... what i dont like is people who are cruel to animals for the sake of it... however, mart isnt intending on been cruel to animals, he justs wants them off his property.. fair play to him..
PS i hate cats. probs cos i'm allergic to em.

Unfortunately (if you don't like 'em), cats are part of modern lifestyles nowdays. As most of us live close to others, some of who will own cats, we have to be tolerant of each other animals/habits.
I have neighbours with dogs that bark at all hours, but I don't go around and shoot said dog (yet ), I've even asked one of the neighbours to stop putting her dog stay all night as it barks constantly. She's ignored it BTW.
There are various methods of keeing cats at bay - have you tried lion dung- supposedly the top cat which all others are scared of!!! This keeps the domestic cats off it's patch.

yeh so big cat s**t instead of little cat s**t! that solves the op's problem if you and other cat owners like you didnt inflicked there animals on others then they wouldnt have to resort to drastic measures! its called responsibility! but dont worry when i get my dog i shall be stockpiling its dung and depositing it on my neighbours lawn!!

Ultra sonic stuff is fine, just check if you can hear it yourself first. I can which makes it a no go for us.
The dog is a pretty good deterrant in the top part of the garden.
You could consider humane traps. If the cat has an ID tag on it, return it to the owner explaining the situation. If no tag then drop it off at the local RSPCA centre.

If it's anything like our dog, it's the local cats in the garden that set's the dog off barking. If you don't like the barking, keep your cat in doors, everyone's a winner

4 watch towers with infrared & thermal detection
an outer ring of claymore mines.
A protective moat, filled with phirana's & salt water crocs
an inner ring patroled by pitbulls & rotwielers
and finally my 12" square pristine lawn in the middle
right you four legged feline f€ker bring it on

What colour is the crap and is it very strong smelling. I had this problem and it was a FOX. Grey coloured crap and shockingly smelly (bit like bradford) My two dogs caught and murdered it after it wan't clever enough one night, shame as it really is one of natures best cat deterents. After the fox went i had trouble with cats in my garden, but in the end someone left food out for them and they were found dead after a while. What a shocking thing to do. Trouble is cats unlike dogs are not actually kept in order by there owners who think it is acceptable for there cats to roam/ rip bin bags open/ kill for fun and to sh*t in peoples gardens and blind there children, after all thats what cats do dont they its accepted....... just ask anyone of there twelve owners. Just put some loaded kitty kat out and rid yourself of the parasites mate.

Remember the Mission Impossible films, instead of tiny Tom Cruise suspended from the overhead rig, a cat with its ar$e down dumping on your lawn then winched away to saftey by is owner
Believe me i know how mucgh of a problem it can be, we have a couple of agingcats and tbh i won't be getting any more. We have kids so i am aware of the health problems.
No easy answer only try to do it in a humane way.

Paul, I agree completely mate, but your Plus Profile has me confused.
Who or what do you want to Nuke from Space? Aren't nuclear weapons going to kill every man, women, child and animal, guilty & innocent within a 20 mile or so radius?
Not having a go... just clarifying..

If you read stuff like the profiles and take them seriously you perhaps should not have pets or consider having children

I didn't take it seriously. I just said it confused me as it didn't sit well with your earlier sentiments....
I don't know what the film is either... so I'm still confused if it sits right, but hey... I haven't got time to find out as my kids need feeding and the dogs need walking..

Do you think all people express their true feelings - it is only the internet after all
