As for your comment regarding the nightclub situation. Couldn't agree more. Nightclubs should be sued for allowing minor in, in the first place.
there was one of them around our way, with a particular penchant for BMX ones, although the clip-on type ones on drop-handles were safe, and because mountain bikes ones look similar to bmx ones, they used to go missing too, the right hand pedal was always left behind though, (i don't think he knew about the left hand thread).

Well Look North have just done their best to fill half an hour with crap about Shannon! Is there anyone on that estate that isn't related to their neighbour?! What a bunch of inbred dullard, retarded chavs!

What finally tipped me over the edge was the folk campaigning for a new 20 mph limit outside a school after a 2 year old was run over...he ran out in front of car, no mention of it speeding but obviously a new speed limit, speed humps and a speed camera will solve the problem. OR, parents could just look after their kids FFS!

IMHO

Sky news is cringe worthy at the moment, think of all the special brew they could have brought with the money wasted on those fireworks.

Is it interesting that she's been put under a police protection order rather than back with her mother?

I should imagine she needs to be questioned and "examined", if you know what I mean....

I get the impression you've got an issue with chavs

She'll be telling her story in the news of the world on sunday for a large fee. They'll be minor celebrities and they'll be selling their ordeals to every magazine that will buy them.

The guy that 'snatched' her was related to the step father Good god, is this what the world is coming too.

I might of course be wrong and it was a genuine abduction, but hopefully the sun do not release the £50k reward money until a thorough investigation is carried out.

7 kids with 5 different dads, says it all

I don't understand you

But, you're very cynical if this is what you think! "I know, let's fake an abduction so we can get loads of cash!"

Do you really think they are that bright?

I think of all the interviews, the one today with her biological father seemed the most sincere.
If the mother and step father have played any part in this, I hope they get their asses kicked in prison.

If, and that's a big if, then yes, they should. But knowing how child protection works, they would have looked deeply into the step father's past...

Reward money!!!

Or am i being unsympathetic and cruel?

Dont get me wrong, im glad the wee girl is safe but was there something more sinister

How has no-one spotted the girl in all this time unless she was kidknapped?
Not at all IMHO

Judgemental mode on

I missed the start of this story as I was out of the country and came back about 10 days into it, I found the mother to be quite relaxed in her belief that the child had been snatched, the step dad looked the part, need i say any more (i know poor bast*rd, not the brightest, it's not his fault), it wouldn't suprise me if he knew the abductor and plod will probably find traces of his DNA in the house, his initial reaction after finding her "I'm really Happy" I think I would be over the f*cking moon, exstatic, blubbing like a good un !! thank god she has been put under an Emergency Protection Order, they know.....

By 'explaining' you are 'justifying' to a certain degree. I wonder if you would be quite so understanding if one of your children was abused by a paedophile?

Don't be ridiculous. I can explain income tax, it doesn't mean I'm in favour of it.

That's a ridiculous prallel. Maybe I'm missing something here Are we soon to be told that rapists are that way inclined because of their genes? Serial killers like Harold Shipman and Peter Sutcliffe couldn't help feeling the way they did?!

NotoriousREV understands the difference, but apparently you do not. And that was not a ridiculous parallel, but actually a pretty good one. More examples, all valid: I have a good idea why men commit rape (mostly wanting power over women, with an admix of misogyny) but again that doesn't mean I'm in favour. I know how a hydrogen bomb works, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to see one go off. Unless it was over Salford anyway. Explain /= justify: they are completely different concepts.

On what planet does explaining mean the same as justifying?

Were I to explain the inner workings of an internal combustion engine mean that I was justifying it's method of propulsion?

Quite a realistic theory.

They looked like filthy chavs to me. Saw all the fat munters rejoicing in the street on the news tonight with their bottles of "Happy Shopper" bubbly and switched turned over to anything else that was on
