Well done Si - nicely put together.
Every time I see the thread title it just reminds me - for some stupid reason - of the Morecambe and Wise shows when Ernie was always saying "And this is a play wot I wrote yesterday"
PS. Do you have a sexier room to record in other than the kitchen??

Hey, I have no problem at all being likened to Jack Johnson.
I’ve spent around 3 years playing his tunes. The reason being that I started a ‘rough and not very serious’ tribute band Jock Johnson Live Covers Band Edinburgh Gigs Live Music (davegtt is aware of this, hence his ironic comments) but as the band grew and moved on, we kept the band name but added an electric guitarist and basically changed the style of music (to more popular covers) to cater for what people wanted at nights in pubs and clubs………
Nowadays, the irony of Jock Johnson (a supposed ‘laid back acoustic trio’) containing 4 or 5 band members belting out Take Her Back and I Found Out by the Pigeon Detectives, followed by Pinball Wizard by the Who, never fails to amuse us (and the crowd)
You’ve got to play what the punters want
Anyway, it was inevitable that some of Jack’s influence was bound to rub off on me

All good none the less, I ain't got anything against Mr JJ, got several of his
albums, all good stuff
Well, good luck anyway, would be cool to hear of a scoobynetter with musical success. In fact, why not write a scoobynet song, so many topics to cover, lol

The first song (the letter) really reminds me of the Metallica song Nothing else matters.

Hello Si, Good of you to remember. They're sort of doing OK playing the London circuit but still waiting for the "big break" (just like most bands!).
